I took the time to hike some in the redwoods today. It was a very serene experience. It's been awhile since I explored the Byrne-Milliron Forest but it's always amazing to return. Porcupine Hollow is quiet and introspective as ever. There are less things hidden in the trees but reading the hidden journal beneath the now broken church bench is always peaceful. I added a new entry as usual and examined a few public tributes to the now deceased caretaker Jeff. He made the place magical to visit. This place has touched many. Lastly I went to "AJ's Point of View" which is an incredible vista. It's hard to visit that spot now without thinking of the pack. Specifically Gurty. Still, it was a beautiful view on a beautiful day. I could see Moss Landing and Monterey clearly today.
If you know a farmer with a small family-owned operation, you know how precarious farmers’ lives can be. Please consider giving to the @gofundme campaign for Blossom’s Farm’s Delmar McComb, who suffered a serious heart attack on July 10th. See link in our bio for more information and to donate to help offset medical bills and related lost income for Delmar and his wife, Caren Fortin. The Corralitos couple has long attended to the health of others in the region through their Community Sustained Herbalism service, a CSA for people seeking quarterly deliveries of healing bitters, teas, tinctures, balms and syrups produced right on their biodynamic farm. Look very closely for the movement in the middle of the screen. A hummingbird came to play on the sprinklers. At the end of the video, he lights on the center string planting guide. :) #farmlife # hummingbird #corvusfarm#corralitos
