Haven't seen this cool chick in 10+ years! Quyen is an actress, human rights advocate for Vietnam, an executive for CASC (California Assoc. of Student Councils) a leadership training organization, and all-around positive, awesome person! This girl and I did drama class, musicals/plays, student gov't, and even starred in an indie film together. It's inspiring to see some powerful Asian women here in LA and am lucky to say I knew you when @soliloquyen!! Also if you like design and beautiful things, ya'll should check out @rowdtla in #DTLA! This place is the shizz. .

The last few years have brought major growth and transformation for me. I have so so very much to be grateful for. Buts it’s also been a huge struggle. I’ve had days where I’ve wondered where my next meal will come from, days where I feel like I’m doing nothing right, where I feel worthless and alone, days where I wonder if I’m where I need to be to be doing what I am, days where I felt just so lost. Ive been struggling with more days like this than I’d like lately.
Then I also have days like yesterday—where I wake up and spend my morning with 2 beautiful souls that uplift me and my passions. Days where I go to work and am reminded by every face that enters the studio why I do what I do, days where my guy says one word or sentence and I’m filled with love and gratitude to have someone that loves and supports me as much as he does. I’m learning to find the balance between the two. To feel my feelings without being drawn into that inner critic (cause man she’s brutal). We need the shadows and darkness to appreciate the light. I just have to remind myself to not stop in the darkness or get too comfortable. Or believe that inner critic, cause she’s pretty convincing.
Idk where I’m going with this. But I’m grateful. For so much. For my life. For the bullshit. For the moments I feel alone. For the struggle. For the love I’m surrounded by. For my guy. For yoga. For this community. What are you grateful for?

Today we celebrate the 1 Year Anniversary of TheQueensMVMT 🎉🎊
Teaching kids for over a decade made me realize they keep me young, fun and full of energy! So I thought why can't grown ups have this much fun?! Which is why I decided to start adult classes located in Queens. Majority of classes are located in the city and let's face it most of us prefer to avoid that trip.
My goal is to get everyone moving and to simply let go!!! We deal with enough in our day to day so let's make time to laugh, sweat, groove, (maybe)get a lil crazy 😜 but most importantly just feel good about ourselves 👑
In a year I have received love and support from friends and family, re-connected with former students, met new friends and received love from complete strangers. I want to continue to grow and strengthen friendships, meet new people and dance with you all 💃🏽💃🏽Thank you a million times for a blessed year I appreciate each and every one of you ❤️ Now come out and join me in one of my classes next week.
