The weekend might be almost over but we've finally got a trip around the corner! 🙌🏼 It'll be our first overnight trip since buying the RV so we are both excited for the mini-adventure and nervous about what kinds of issues we will uncover.

I never really understood this ‘slow living’ concept that is thrown around. Didn’t people get bored? What about getting out there? Doing all the things? Exploring? Cramming each moment with experiences? But then this week I think I understood, and I liked it. We’ve spent a few peaceful days in Suffolk whiling away the hours at the beach, in the garden or in the cornfield (for the gram right?) just chilling, chatting and have no a nice time. I mean, who knew you could have so much fun playing catch with an unripe fig? 😂 Think I might find it hard to wind back up and go at 100mph again tomorrow. How’s your weekend been?

How many times do you look back at the hundreds of photos on your phone and realize there is not ONE SINGLE PHOTO of you with your kids?⠀
You've got photos of the kids enjoying the zoo, the park, the pool, etc. There's probably even a photo or two of your significant other with the kids.⠀
For me, the majority of my "family photos" are selfies. ⠀
Today, I didn't want a selfie. I wanted to remember this weekend. I made my husband take a photo. He complained about my phone (he's NOT an Apple guy), but he took the photo. I got the memory. ⠀
Today, I challenge you to get in the picture. Tag #proofofmom and capture some sweet memories!
We were pretty busy at home this weekend!
The kids painted a teepee and we made a diy racetrack for the cars, we finally organised a compost corner and finished the weekend off making fresh homemade pasta with homemade sauce!
We’ve been having a few of these grounding weekends lately and it’s just a bit nice to laze around in the mornings out in the sun with a cuppa and finish off the day ticking some things off the household list.
My hubby and I have created a kind of tradition on Saturday nights too where we put the kids to bed early, eat chocolate and watch stand up comedy specials on Netflix, it’s awesome, We are huge fans of stand up!
Hoping everyone has had a spectacular weekend doing whatever it was you all did.
Enjoy your Sunday night 😀🤘👍
