Throwback to the only break in rain looking for wildlife in Tortuguero National Park. This area is only accessible by boat and is home to a wide variety of wildlife from sea turtles and crocodiles to jaguars and sloths #biodiversity

I Love this photo of him. That's a legit smile.😆 I wish I got the whole shirt in it. " Six packs don't kill people, People kill six pack's" 😂😂😂

It’s #WorldTurtleDay! 💙🐢 Did you know that five of the seven marine turtle species in the world can be found in the Philippines 🇵🇭? Sadly, these marine turtles (locally known as Pawikan) regularly mistake plastic bags for jellyfish, one of their favorite food. Let us all be mindful of our waste and eliminate single-use plastic from our lives.👌🏼

“We need the tonic of wildness...At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.” -Henry David Thoreau #ambleguide
There was this one place we camped in Costa Rica where dozens of wild scarlet macaws would come to eat from the almond trees above us - their favourite food. •
A few times throughout the day they would fly over our campsite. We would stop whatever we were doing to look up and take in the flock of beautiful vibrant colours passing over our heads. Every time we would smile and laugh at the pure amazement of this experience. •
I got up at 5am, for three days in a row, and laid on a towel with my camera, hoping to capture an image of this wonder. They were too quick or I was too slow (or impatient 😏). It seemed like they only flew over when I put my camera down. •
It’s not the greatest shot but I was able to catch this straggler one of those days - beautiful, right!? Now imagine two dozen more in the sky. Magnificent! ✨-K
I have come to believe that self care is not self indulgent. Self care allows us to be the very best version of ourselves. What are some ways you care for yourself?

Find rest of spirit in the beauty and quietude and peace of nature. Let the eye rest on the green fields, the groves, and the hills. Look up to the blue sky, unobscured by the city’s dust and smoke, and breathe the invigorating air of heaven.
