Didn’t think Alexa got a tan on holiday.. apparently I was wrong 🙈 My parenting joy today was Alexa decided to try and climb in the toilet and then shoved half her nappies down there too .. FML 😩

It's been a hell of a long day and it's finally BEDTIME!!
Here's how my day went;
Fed and watered the kids and myself, made sure we were dressed, packaged half the weekend ebay sales, school run, nursery run, post office drop, Iceland shop for lunch items, back home to make my lunch, packed bag for work, got uniform on, parcel shop drop, went to work, worked an 11 hour shift on the ambulances, on breaks bid on auction items and responded to ebay stuff and called the boys to chat about their day at school, arrived home from work and did 3 hours freelance admin work, bedtime! 😯😯😯
And tomorrow looks to be pretty much the same! It's no wonder I'm shattered by the time I'm crawling in to bed!
The hectic life of a working Mum!
If my babies remember anything, I hope they remember that their Mama tried her best and maybe not so much that they are getting to eat granola bars and popsicles for dinner. 🙇♀️ #whatsfordinner#exhaustion#bonapetit

Besides the major emotional benefit of making them feel self-fulfillment by helping them find their true passion, there are a few other benefits that makes this extremely important:
1️⃣Well being – feeling directionless and with a meaningless career to one’s self can easily evolve into feelings of depression, aggression, and feeling miserable. We might think a bad career choice is not the end of the world, but think again. We now live in a world of technology where, from a young age, kids see and learn from everything around them, as well as people online. It is now easier for kids to see and connect with other people doing what they love and living their passion. Are you going to take that away or delay it from them?
2️⃣Relationships – when finance stress meets parental frustration, the parent-child relationship can majorly be affected. What started out as us parents trying to do the best for our kids might end up deteriorating our relationship and driving them away.
3️⃣Finances – did you know college students without a career interest often take longer to graduate? How do you think that would impact your wallet? Our guess would be A LOT, since college tuition usually range between 6k to 30k per semester.
❤️ Because of all of these reasons, and more, it is important to support your kids’ passion and to start early on! The quicker we help them realize what they want in life, the better chance we have at enabling our kids to feel confidence in living their passion and to save ourselves from the possible issues listed above.
So do you think your kids already found their passion!?

Okay, so new gym kit. I’m practically a #Dottir now right?! Totally fan girling @katrintanja 😍😍😍
Scarlet is so mean to me lately. She shouts at me, hits me and tells me she doesn't like me. It really hurts but I have to keep reminding myself that she's 2! She's not trying to be mean. She's going through a lot. She's learning, she's growing and she's constantly dealing with new situations. We have really bad days but we also have absolutely amazing days. She's clever, funny and so so strong. She amazes me constantly and I didn't bring her into the world to be angry with her cause she's having a bad day #mumlife#battlingthrough#bestfriendsforever#mybabygirl#parentingproblems#soworthit#motheranddaughter#myeverything

UPDATE; Me and Kory couldn’t get in at our regular doctors so we had to phone the out of hours number and we managed to get an appointment at the clinic near our house. Once we got there we had to wait an hour because the doctor hadn’t arrived yet 🤦🏼♀️ Anyway, turns out my swollen throat and just generally feeling like crap sounds like it could be the start of tonsilitis, doesn’t help that I have low blood pressure! And Kory has a very red, sore looking throat so we’ve both been prescribed antibiotics and are now chilling out on the couch 😴
Is it okay to give grandparents babysitting instructions? That was the question my Mam and I were asked for a feature in the @independent.ie Luckily for us my parents play a very active role in helping to care for my children. They look after Olivia & Oscar while Aaron and I work and although I’m really into trying new parenting techniques, I can’t really instil them on my own mother. She has her ways and I have mine & she learns from me as much as I learn from her. We agree that it’s all about trust - We trust them and our kids trust them. They are unbelievable parents and grandparents. So helpful, loving and kind. No wonder Olivia never wants to leave 🙈 My Mam and I gave our opinion on the topic to the lovely Kathy Donaghy - You’ll find the full article on their website. #parentingadvice#parentingproblems#ipbig#theindo#irishindependent#interview#oursay#grandparentshouse#parentingblogger

I get asked a lot how to make the school morning go more smoothly. 🔅💖⠀
A lot of this starts the night before in my opinion. A child who goes to bed happy and relaxed, wakes up in a better mood and is ready for his day.⠀
It all begins in the mind and the thoughts they have lead to the feelings that they have. 👶⠀
Would you like a simple way of making sure your little one goes to bed with loving, happy thoughts in his mind helping him wake up feeling happier?⠀
You can do this! The Goulding process is a simple, two min technique that you can do every bedtime to instill loving, positive messages in your child’s mind. To learn more about this, send me a message today.⠀
“I overheard my son the other day playing with his toys in his bedroom singing Today’s a happy day…!”⠀

GOOD MORNING, Friend!
Every day is a new day to be better than you were the day before. Maybe that means you don’t have a hot fudge sundae for dinner. Maybe it means you’re more gentle with yourself today. Because you’re only human, right? Perhaps it means you leave the housecleaning for another day and take your kids on a picnic ... because they’re only little once. It could even mean you take the kids to Grandma’s because you need a spa day to loosen up, relax and be your best self tomorrow.
We are a little too hard on ourselves when our day doesn’t go the way we wish it would. So, be gentle and kind with yourself every day. You’re still learning. We all are. Every day.
What will make your day better today?
Doctors today for me and Kory. I’ve been feeling a bit run down lately and today I’ve woke up and my throat feels all swollen and Kory just hasn’t been himself at all over the weekend. He hasn’t been sleeping, he’s crying all the time, he’s super clingy and he keeps putting his hand in his mouth and screaming 👎 Sounds like it could be teething but never has Kory ever been like this because of teething before 😬
P.S. Even when we’re both feeling a bit under the weather 🌧 we can still smile for the camera 😊📷
