It's been an awful week. Yesterday we came home to find our home vandalized and robbed. Within the same moment I received notice that our beloved @alfietherubycavalier had passed away unexpectedly. This news immediately brought me to the floor in tears and disbeleif. Our stolen and broken possessions became insignificant compared to the loss and grief we felt for Alfie and his Mom. To say we are devastated about his passing is an understatement. Not only was he Romeos first and absolute best friend, he was truly the sweetest, silliest, patient and beautiful dog. I'll never forget how Alfie brightened our day and how much we looked forward to our frequent play dates. I could watch Alfie and Romeo play for hours. They loved eachother so much and it was therapeutic watching them chase and wrestle continuously. Courtney - you were the most amazing puppy Mum to Alfie. We learned so much through you and you have introduced us to an incredible cavalier community both in Vancouver and on Instagram.
Alfie made thousands of people across the world smile and laugh every single day. This is more than most can do in a lifetime. Despite his short life, he was truly loved by his family, friends and followers. My deepest condolences go out to Alfie and his family during this terribly difficult time. There are no words or actions that can make things better. Life can be so unfair. Time will slowly heal and soon you will be able to smile and laugh at all the wonderful memories you had together. We will forever cherish the footprints Alfie left in our hearts and hold our memories close to our heart. It will be hard to go to the park without you. Romeo and I love you Alfie. We feel beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to know you. #RIPAlfie ❤️ #bff#bestfriends#ralfio
