Come out tomorrow to one of our favourite Vancouver summer events, the Annual Point Grey Fiesta parade!
The parade runs from 10:00-11:30am, and we hope to see you there!
It took all my will to not roll over to the sound of my alarm going off shortly after midnight but finally managed and got of my tent to a warm, calm and starry night. The townsite campground in Waterton is only a short walk to the lakeshore and it was nice to know I wasn't too far from civilization for once! I admired our galaxy, daydreaming in the silent night when a noise popped my bubble and got my heart racing. A quick check around with the headlamp revealed nothing nearby but as I moved I heard it again: my rain pants brushing together!!! 😂
cured by the mountain air.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me in the past 24hours. The messages I have received have brought tears to my eyes. Each message carried so much compassion and love that I can't even begin to tell you how thankful I am for every single word. A lot of the messages held similar stories where words were used as an act of hate rather than love.
The reason for my share was not so I could receive compliments or so we could hate the person together (because we can’t hate him), but rather so we can open up a gateway for conversation about bullying. I know I am not alone when I go through stuff like this and nor are you. We are all in this together, and we should not feel like we need to be silenced by people who choose to use their words over us. So, I repeat, we are in this together! Thank you for the messages. Thank you for opening a painful part of your past to share with me, and thank you for reminding me that we are not alone. Spread love my friends, not hate. You are all so beautiful!
