All I wanted was a cute picture of us enjoying the morning sun on the lake house deck and what does she do... stick out her tongue!! Typical kid!
For as long as I can remember, my family had always had at least 1 lab, if not several that my dad hunted with, he also trained them for others for many years and I helped him. I never really considered our dogs “pets” they were “working dogs”. I didn’t necessarily “play” with them either because we wanted the time we spent with each dog to be purposeful and to reinforce their training. Don’t get me wrong, we loved on them a ton but the connection to them was different. 🦆
Although, it’s funny how a dog can change our perspective. More and more often when someone ask me if I have kids, I reply, “yes a 9 year old son, and 3 fur girls, ages 7, almost 2, and almost 1” Prior to bringing home Brie and Mia, our 2 youngest, I would have never even thought of myself as a “fur mom” but these girls who each have their very own distinct personalities are so much apart of our lives that I proudly claim this title! Are you a fur mom? What kinda of dog do you have and how old are they?
"All this snow and cold whether makes me want to be back in the blind. The end of March closed a record breaking year for our crew. We killed 1800 + snow geese during conservation season. This is the best year I have ever experienced in my years of hunting and it’s all thanks to the hours and days everyone put into building the blind, setting and moving the spread, sharing ammo when you run out, and many other things that go into hunting. I am blessed to be able to hunt right in the heart of the Mississippi Flyway, and I can’t wait to see what next year brings!!" @kristenbess88#Henoutdoors#WomenOfFowl#WaterfowlWomen#Waterfowlin#WaterfowlGirls#WaterfowlSeason#SnowGeese#KillWhitey#SaveTheTundra
