A little #wednesdaywisdom on this #tacotuesday ... for all my single/dating ladies... Make no mistake, no one is perfect...but if he is treating you like you are the “free salsa”...AKA- he doesn’t see and appreciate the amazingness that only YOU bring to this world...Well, beautiful sista, here’s the sign that you need to have a talk and get that straightened out or find yo’self someone that cherishes you... as much as that bowl of guac. (Inspired by @lindsdavisss IG story 🙌🏻❤️) #soulfullymade
Gaining strength and muscle is not a linear process, often you'll have to step back to go forward as I have done here.
My working sets are now consisting of weights that I would use as a warm up a few weeks ago. But I don't go to the gym to grow my ego but to grow my muscles. If you aren't doing movements with a full range of motion, ie quarter repping (unless it's a planned part of your program) reduce the weight.
When @healthyhappy50 started sobbing halfway through her weekly shop, she knew something had to change. Balancing work, being a single parent to two teenage sons, both parents going through chemotherapy, and the early stages of menopause, she was feeling overwhelmed. When a friend suggested exercise might her de-stress, Jo was ready to try anything. So, she started using a rowing machine at home. After her mum passed away, she decided to raise money in her memory and rowed a million meters over the course of eight months, and then topped it off by rowing a marathon in front of family and friends and raising over £10,000. “Having done very little exercise for decades, I could see it had been so beneficial in helping me through the enormous grief and hole in my life losing mum, as well as navigating the physical, emotional and mental challenges of the menopause.” Now, Jo has tried wild swimming, bodyboarding, paddleboarding, running, strength training and surfing. She’s rediscovered the joy of being active and rebuilt her self-confidence. Head over to her page to follow her journey @healthyhappy50#ThisGirlCan#WednesdayWisdom#fitoverfifty

Sunshine over our factory ☀️ Did you know that our site located on Caton Road, Lancaster was once used as a wagon works in the 19th century! 🚂 Our central gateway and clock tower was built by architects Paley & Austin in 1864 when the Lancaster Railway Carriage & Wagon Company moved on site. 💭
Well, here's a great reminder of why I am on this journey. I know I share a lot, but that's because I've been down the hard roads too. I understand turmoil, shame, guilt, heartache, anger, exhaustion, envy and depression. I've experienced all those qualities in my life at some point. When they say there is a light at the end of the tunnel, it also means there are those who have paved a way and they are shining their light for you.
