I’m leaving in an hour for the week for my annual sales meeting and let’s just say I’ve had a negative attitude towards it for weeks. On my run this morning I was listening to a podcast with Deena Kastor and she was talking about how big of an impact attitude has on any situation. Right there in that moment I decided to let it go- try to give 100% while I’m there because it is my job and stop letting those negative thoughts get in. 🙌🏻
7 early miles this morning and I’ll be meeting up with my winter boyfriend, the treadmill, while I’m gone the next three days! 🤷♀️

Stress comes in many forms ✔️
↪️ In order to get stronger and build resilience, stress is necessary.
BUT...you must be able to recover from the stress you impose to your body so that you can adapt from it.
🔑 It is a game of RECOVERY and ultimately ADAPTATION. Always keep the S.A.I.D principle in mind when it comes to stressing your body (training or otherwise):
➡️ Adaptation to
↪️ Meaning that your body will adapt to whatever demands you place on it, in a specific manner (neurologically and biomechanically). IF YOU ALLOW IT TO RECOVER.
❌ Enter chronic stress/stressors:
⚠️ The body is good at recovering from acute forms of stress. It isn’t as good at dealing with continual chronic stress in the form of bills, deadlines, work issues etc.
🔑 You must take this into account when you choose to further stress your body. If your body is already being redlined, it won’t be able to recover and adapt from nearly as much additional stress you place on it in the form of exercise or training.
↪️ Keep this in mind, as overstressing your body acutely in addition to the chronic stress you may be under is a balancing act.
✅ Again, I emphasize that it is all about your ability to RECOVER, so that you can truly adapt and get STRONGER.

I probably feel like a nag sometimes when getting clients to find there macros out on a speadsheet.
Working on my fitness pal helps! It's pretty easy to use and it finds everything out for you.
And through some recipe tips on my fresh fit plan. Which work with to get amazing results this works!!!
It's maintainable and you work this around your lifestyle without counting sins or eating bland tasteless foods out of a lunch box every day.

Wanting to lose weight and become leaner?
Cardio/ running seems like a good idea and yes it is!
Running too much outside on the treadmill or even bike and cross trainer are not the best ways to get you into shape.
I love running and the benefits.
It does play a role in my fat loss goals however it not the only reason I get results or my clients results.
Most runners hate weight training I get that however just spending little bit of time doing some resistance training can go a long way!
Not only becoming leaner but preventing that muscle imbalance you have, the tired legs, re occurring injury that keeps flaring up, and reduced weight so you are actually lighter and running more comfortably.

Easily ate 3 meals for dinner and still felt as though I could have had a little more.
Fueling up, recovery, rest and sleep is just as, if not more important than exercise and breaking your body down. It's pretty simple dont eat enough and your body will break down and you will lose weight including muscle, fuel up correctly and you will increase muscle mass. Pick a goal and learn all about correct nutrition for your vision. Even better find someone that has done it successfully and see what you can learn from them.
I've been seen to eat my body weight in pizza after endurance events.... or have I. Could be a slight exaggeration 😂😂😂🤔

Sunday runday at sunrise. Had the trail to myself for a while which is always peaceful. I love the aromatic smells of the plants and natural herbs in the morning dew. I love the cool canyon air amongst the warmer air signaling a hot day to come. I love the animals going about their morning routine. The rabbits, coyotes, and birds. I am not a morning person but I love these morning forays into nature.
