This is the work ‘Falling Apart at the Seams’ by Jenny Phillips. @jennymphillips
Medium: Watercolor, Quill Pen, BFK Rives
Size: 15 x 15 inches
Jenny says about her work:
‘Lee Nowell-Wilson’s comment about drawing laundry over and over again reminded me of my own attraction to the mundane: netted bags (whether for laundry or oranges) have been a recurring obsession, and I love losing myself in the process of drawing the tangle of lines. The subtle distortions of the warp and weft create evocative forms, transforming a utilitarian object into something worthy of contemplation. I was also inspired by Lee’s comment about deconstruction and unraveling and tried to incorporate those concepts into my drawing.’
Jenny lives and works in San Francisco, CA.

At Freemans Reach lookout, just a few hundred metres from @purplenoongallery, the Hawkesbury River meanders below, in its quiet way, defined by its natural scarp and bushland setting. The lookout offers magnificent views over the Hawkesbury River, surrounding rural countryside and the Blue Mountains, as shown in today’s post 💙 The winter light is amazing at the moment and I often call the spot Streeton’s view. His world famous painting “The Purple Noon’s Transparent Might” was painted here in 1896. The view is still very much as it was when painted by Streeton. Scroll ▶️ to see views looking north west up the river and then easterly to #sydney 😍When you visit Purple Noon Gallery be sure to catch the view. It’s atmospheric outlook changes everyday #arthistory#artgallery#bluemountains#artist#purplenoon#hawkesbury#art#classic#secretriver

Presenting "Mona frikkin Liza" 🖼
I know, I know. You can never ever touch the original Da Vinci's creation. I'm not even trying.
All credits to my Ama jaan who (after watching Da Vinci's documentary) bought me my first ever canvas to practice and I tried my best to not mess it up. 🙂
Took me a month to finish this because I'm moody af. Also cz I'm an Art freak, I have to put my heart & soul into everything that I compose and there's really no other way. 🎨
And so I finally decided to post it here because I feel like she deserves more than just being a 24hr story. Adios 👋
Went to the museum to get a planned picture and left with an unplanned picture. I’m hereby starting a petition to allow tripods into the Blanton — because if a small child trips over it, then they deserve it! 👿 #dontstiflemycreativity
