Got a serious case of the Mondays? Don't worry, we've got you covered with another spotlight--this time featuring Iqaluit, NU-based artist Jesse Tungilik. A multi-disciplinary artist Tungilik works with a wide range of materials and mediums from jewellery-making 💍 to mixed-media sculptures. Tungilik's "Nunavice Flag" (2013) takes the symbolism of the Nunavut flag, which celebrates cultural heritage and the landscape, and offers a very different perspective on the continued effects of colonization and colonial imports on Arctic communities. Tungilik was recently awarded 🏆 the TD North South Artist Exchange and will be heading to do a residency at the Banff Centre 🌲 this year. #InuitArt#Artist#Mixedmedia#Iqaluit#TD#Banff To learn more about Jesse and his work visit his profile online.
#Alberta is pushing ahead with $125-million emergency response hub. The facility is to be built at the #Edmonton Research Park in the city’s south side, replacing the current operations centre that is housed in an aging, undersized building in a northwest industrial area.
(Photo taken by my 12yr)One of the kids extra curricular is photography. They have gotten so good with their photos so I've decided to not only just share photos of the kids in these beautiful adventures we have but also share their love for photography with all of you. They are really into Legos so it would only be normal to photograph your favorite Lego man over looking Lake Louise in Banff Alberta Canada.
This week I’m trading in the mountains for some coast line. I’ll be out in Tofino to document an elopement and squeeze in some surfing 🏄. Shoot me a DM if you are out that way and want to connect while I’m there.

Sometimes wading out in ice-cold glacier water makes for a more epic photography experience. 😜😂🙌 Finally had some time this weekend to start editing new photos from our family trip up to Banff. 👍 The day before we arrived it was sunny ☀️ and warm....from the day we arrived to the day we left it was rainy 🌧, cold and even snowed one day (which we really actually love but doesn’t make for great photography conditions 😏). The day after we left it was sunny ☀️ again and warm. 😂💁♀️ We absolutely loved it in that beautiful park regardless - maybe even more. 😍 So, here’s to some moodier Banff photos (and a good learning experience shooting long exposure in and between the drizzle ☔️ and wind 💨). 😊👌🙌
Lake Moraine, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 .
Swinging into the week in Banff and out of it in London 🧡 we finally made it to Lake Louise last night and it was as beautiful as you all said! Also Lake Moraine is even more beautiful not at sunrise (odd, I know).
Thanks @jessomewhere for giving me directions to this spot! It’s epic and we’ve already gone multiple times.

Day 3 - Ball Pass Junction to Twin Lakes. 8.5 miles. We started out with an easy morning hike to Shadow Lake and ran into some familiar faces! A group of women who helped us find the trail the day prior actually worked there, and offered us coffee and muffins. They were so kind we wish we stayed at shadow lake lodge! Off we went again to climb up to gibbons pass and then down down down to twin lakes. Tired and smelly at this point but the views were so worth it. #banff#shadowlakelodge#adventureisoutthere#smellycat#backpacking

Amazing waterfalls don’t always have to be rolling off breathtaking cliffs! Sometimes they can be going right underneath your feet! Hope you had an amazing Sunday and are ready to have a great week! #MondayMood

There are no words for Lake Louise 😍 The water is so blue, the backdrop is breathtaking, and I can’t believe I actually got to see in real life. After relaxing a bit just staring at the view from shore, we climbed up to the Agnes Tea House and then to the Little Beehive. From up above you could see the whole lake, an even milkier blue, and see miles and miles of mountains surrounding you. I can’t even. ——————-

2 - Mom, Dad and I walking up to the Little Beehive
3 - Another view from the opposite of Lake Louise from the Overlook
4 - Just another view of this beauty
Wake up and say thank you. 💕
Feeling incredibly grateful for all the small yet significant pieces of my life. Today is going to be a great day. Happy Monday everyone! ⛰
