I keep going through these photos from our trip with @newportcoastaladventure and I’m still amazed at the experience I had!
Can’t wait to go again!
Which fancy corner office can beat my view from work today?

Comment below how long you think a blue whale is!??
1 or 3 school buses long!???
Blue whales might just be one of my favorite water creatures after this experience. Sharks still take the top spot!

Helloooo my lovelies! Finally! It’s been too long! 🙊😋 Some of you who watch my instastories will know that I’m currently on assignment in Tasmania... 🙊 “on assignment” is my new fave saying haha! Anyway, yes! I’m in Tasmania, working on a dreamy project with two of my faves! The talented and uber beautiful inside and out, miss @madeleinebjones and my wonderful camera family @olympus_au 😍♥️ Our adventure has been a busy one! This is the first chance I’ve had to even sort through any images to be able to share this with you. So. Who here has been to Tasmania? I swear the stars are so much brighter here than anywhere else I’ve been in the world! 😱🙌 Mads and I ventured out in the freeing cold winds and nearly got blown off the cliffs to try to capture the Milky Way here above the beautiful Cape Tourville Lighthouse in the Freycinet National Park. Both armed with the sensational OM-D E-M1 MARK II, and the 7-14mm F2.8 Prime Lens, we held onto our beanies and our tripods and went crazy! Haha! Being as afraid of the dark as I am, I rarely shoot stars unless I’m with someone, so I was super stoked to share this extraordinary moment with Madeleine. ♥️ #olympusinspired#always
Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be sharing all my faves from this awesome trip! I do sincerely hope you’ll join me, as you ladies & lads are a huge part of the reason of why I love photography so much. Since my days of sharing phone shots to now working with the bestest camera brand ever, it’s always the sharing with you and your incredible kindness and generous hearts that has kept me going. Thank you! I hope you love this starry night as much as I do! 🌌♥️😘

Dear Geckos family
We have some news about big changes here at Geckos HQ.
It’s the kind of news that we can’t fit in to an Instagram story, so we wrote you a proper letter, which you can read in full at the link in our bio. But if you're short on time,
here's what’s happening: Geckos Adventures is joining forces with our big sister brand, Intrepid Travel, to launch a range of trips for socially-conscious 18 to 29-year-olds from around the world.
From 1 October 2018, all Geckos Adventures trips will become Intrepid Travel’s 18 to 29s trips. The name will change, but our style (which means your adventures) will remain the same: authentic experiences shared in small groups, with local leaders. We're sure you have questions, so we've included more info at the link in our bio. In the meantime, follow @intrepidtravel to continue this journey with us :)
Went for a traditional Indian feast tonight with my gal pal @itslizmiu feat. chapati, dosa, thali and street food! Then we visited an Indian supermarket and chatted to the owner about the best Bollywood movies 😆
I have been missing India dearly since my trip with @intrepidtravel. So glad we got to get a little taste of the real deal here in Sydney tonight 🕌
“Our chocolate will make you happy” PUN intended 😂
Here’s the background story…
I grew up in São Paulo, Brazil.
And when I was a kid I always had heaps of nicknames.
Aha… I know you are curious, so here are some of them:
😂 BENSON -> out of the character Benson Dubois, on the american TV show called “Benson” - in Brazil known as “O Poderoso Benson”
😂 BA -> out of the character BA (aka Mr.T), on the american TV show called “The A Team” - in Brazil known as “O Esquadrão Classe A” 〰️
😂 CHOCOLATE -> out of... you know, chocolate🍫 ! Hahaha!
You might ask… What do they all have in common? They are all somehow related to the brown/dark color 🤔… stay with me… I am getting there...🙄
Even though Brazil is technically a multicultural country, with a mix of races, etc. There are still some communities where you will live / hang out and won’t see almost anyone with my skin color. 〰️
As I used to live in one of those communities, I was always the different one, and of course the nicknames kept coming over and over… I won’t lie, firstly I was bothered by that 😒. But then eventually I learned to accept 😐 and later on, I actually started enjoying 🤪
Jumping to the year 00’s (circa 2001) I used to work in this corporate job, during a training session, the speaker lady made a compliment about my smile - in a room full of coworkers... Yep, you are right. From that day on, my new nickname was 😄 MR.SMILE ---------------------------------------
So now, back to February this year (2018), I was in Kyoto, Japan - with my wife. We turned a corner and saw this BEAUTIFUL mural at the back of a chocolate store (Cacao Market), with angel wings and an open spot right in the middle with the following quote:
“Our chocolate will make you happy”
So I placed myself right in the middle and CLICK 📸 - I knew this would be the perfect shot to summarise who I am, my story and my personality (chocolate🍫 + happy smile😄)
This photo now lives in my Travel Photography media kit and contact page in my website: marceloborgesphotography.com
Cheers to beach hair, tan skin, flip flops and cold beer.
So happy to be back living in California when I’m not traveling. So many great options to fly the drone.
