Can you tell it’s wildfire season? 🔥 We were praying for gorgeous weather on our last day in Tombstone, and of course it was blue bird skies when we woke up. The only problem was that there was so much smoke in the air it pretty much blocked out the sun 😂 It made for perfect hiking weather though so I guess we got exactly what we needed to go out and do some exploring!

• It’s been a massive week, topped off yesterday with 70kms of hills and sprints and this morning with asuperb 1.7km ocean swim (thanks for protecting me from the 🐊 @sarah.f.thomas 🙈😂😜) ...but I’m still smiling! Early night tonight for me after staying up watching the epic sprint finish in Stage 8 @letourdefrance where speed demon @dylangroenewegen took back the win from @petosagan ...my heart was racing!! Yeah I know Cairns is no Amiens, but watching those guys battle it out....fark me...such amazing inspo for my upcoming races...go hard or go home!!! Bring on the next block!! •
We got up at 530am (on a Saturday) to drive 2.5 hours to this epic waterfall. When we got there turns out it was closed due to heavy rains and a partly missing track 😣 We decided to ignore the warning signs, because, well we’d driven so far, paid $30 one way in tolls and woke up wayyy too early to miss it! So carried on down the track... then came across video surveillance cameras and a big red sign saying if we went any further we would get fined $2000! Sooo we turned back 😂 Drove down the road and explored here instead. Not bad beautiful world. Not bad at all 😌❤️ (📷: @bella_be_active) Follow @RunningFervor for more.
Today was fun and super challenging!! I never had breathing issues with the altitude but my muscles basically started screaming at me right away.
The swim was brutal, yet I was surprised at how good it felt and how well I did!
The bike was so tough. The hills killed me and I went slow but I got through it with a smile on my face and I even got 39mph on the way down the big hill... Scary shit.
The run was fun but also super challenging. After that bike course, my legs were pretty spent but I found my rhythm and had a blast.
All in all, I think I should prepare more for the next one... 😂😂 But I know I can have a good time doing an Olympic tri on no training... #trimountainman
Decided to knock out my first Olympic distance Triathlon this morning at #triwaco in 3:11 AND a 2nd place finish in my division.
6 months ago swimming 1500m, biking 26 miles & running a 10k seemed like a pipe dream. But today felt good. All the training days with Waco Triathlon Club paid dividends. Learned a lot about the nuances of racing. Definitely things to improve on before October.
Time for a few days off then ramp it back up for IRONMAN 70.3 Waco Thanks to everyone who came out it to cheer me on. 🏊🏻♂️ 🚴🏻♂️🏃🏼♂️

The Think Fit Boys are back with more tips from the tool box!
This week we get into acceptance. How to accept that your fitness or athletic journey is individual and will take as long as it takes.
We are all different and therefore take different lengths of time to achieve the same thing.

We're excited to see you at Rainbow Beach in a few weeks time! Happy training! 🙌🏼 #Repost@chardurand with @get_repost
Back in the pool today after a week off. Easing back into it 👌🏼👌🏼 Loving the Saturday skills and drills set. Decided to race Rainbow Beach double tri @rainbowbeachtri in August with @sunshinecoasttriathlonacademy as part of the lead in for worlds. Keen to have a race on the near horizon! Looking forward to the next few weeks of head down + work hard. Doctor life seems to be getting busier by the day, too- must be the season for it 😂🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Survived my extra random night shift last night, but I won’t lie and say I’m not glad to be sleeping through tonight. #swimbikerun#sleep#womeninmedicine#swimmer#amanzigirls#triathlete
I went into today thinking I’m going to push until I can’t. I had probably my best swims and bike ever in a race and then mile 2 of the run the wheels came off and the next 11 miles were a walk/run.
On a hot and humid day it made for a L-O-N-G run. My run was way off what I was hoping for but today was a win because I never quit when the officials checked on me 4 times throughout the run. And let me tell you the air conditioned car looked REALLY good!! But the absolute best part was coming up to the finish line and having my girl run me in!! Special thank you to @gdb217 because he always is a great cheer squad and Sherpa. And @digrigs66 for letting me chase you around Geneva today :) 🏊🏼♀️🚴🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️💪🏻 #triathlon#triathlete#untilthewheelsfalloff#hotassrun#musselman#youdidnotdefeatme
Got my morning miles in today in Philly! “But you were out dancing after midnight last night” - correct. I gave up drinking about four years ago and if I were still drinking, I can promise you this run would NOT have happened after celebrating and dancing the night away with friends. I would probably be missing a lot of runs, and a lot of those moments of pride and accomplishment. I look back and maybe quitting drinking didn’t magically turn me into an elite endurance athlete, but it has made me so much more aware of my training and in tune with my body. And the runner’s high is so much easier to achieve when you’re not cutting through the inch thick fog of last night’s sins first. So yeah. Going out is great, but if and when I do it, I’ll be the one dancing and sipping the H2O on the rocks, and probably out running before everyone else wakes up. Happy Sunday Runday, friends! .
Summer Project #10: progress... Y’all. This. This is what I got a house for me for. And when the fence is done next week and I can put the breakaway screen door up and they can run in and out while I’m working towards goal smashing...then my heart can fully get back into long training days and not feel guilty. Every other reason to buy a house was all for the fur family but this. This was for me.

Gonna have my eyes on the prowl on amazon prime day for a few more items on the list for down here and then it’s on to finishing up the space now that I got my hammer drill and can hang up everything that’s been in waiting. Also need to just change out the pulleys on the vasa trainer and install the power platform and I think we’ll be ready to rumble.
2018 might not have been a perfect season but it’s not over yet and 2019 is coming...learning to accept that some things have to take a backseat in order to let other things come to fruition and I can’t complain about my blessings. I’d waste a season to have my business so stable and successful and to have the opportunity to give us it all over and over again because 2018 may not be MY race season but it most certainly has been my season of glory.
