Update from Martha’s nightime view. Katie and I currently already in bed waiting for the two night owls. But most importantly DO YOU SEE HOW BROKEN MY BED IS. THE GIRL ABOVE ME IS SITTING ON HER MATTRESS AND ITS SO BROKEN LIKE THE MAIN BAR WHERE ALL HER WEIGHT IS IS BROKEN AND THE BED IS CAVING IN ON ME SO THIS COULD BE THE END I MAY DIE IN MY SLEEP TONIGHT. also we have made friends with three Malaysian girls in their twenties who are first year maths students in Dublin and are here for the three nights that we’re here. They are really nice and we were all saying how happy we were that the others weren’t like old men or something. We’ve already shared chargers #bonding. Anyway the mysterious woman from earlier eventually showed up and we’d guess she’s about 30 and she hasn’t really said anything even though the rest of us are chatting away so it’s a bit weird but she might just not speak English, would have thought she could have replied to our hello and thank you though, not complaining...
I've been given the opportunity to spend more time with my kids and man they are something else. They're so smart, loving, caring, annoying, hardheaded and a handful but overall they're beautiful. I love my kids and they love me. I'm proud to be their father. I am nothing without you two. Papi loves you. 💯🙏❤️ #FAM#Bonding#Parenthood#DadLife#DabsForDads

Dads been teaching me how these things work. 👨🏻🔧👨🏼🔧👨👦
So this is what my days look like at the moment. I have never been this patient before and I must say it does get a little frustrating sometimes, but I want to give these boys all the time they need to get used to me, so we're taking tiny steps ❤️
Novel Alert. On Thursday I departed for Tucson, Arizona where I was to meet 20 women executives at Google. I came to the retreat at Miraval not knowing what to expect, and left completely renewed, motivated, and most of all, hopeful.
When you arrive at Miraval, you are greeted with a tranquil vibe, wonderful plant based meals, and a cornucopia of activities. From spa treatments, to hikes, Himalayan sound baths and meditation, all activities help individuals build an intention, create presence, and compound self worth.
While at Miraval I met women who were google executives, happily married, and wonderful moms. I met a film-producer who works with 50 cent, an author writing books to help homeless youth, and many women who have lost husbands, children, and parents who are still trying to live the life they originally intended within that loss. I befriended women who live in Manhattan, LA, Chicago, and Wisconsin, and who travel the globe. Our common threads? Struggle. Fear. And trying to do it all in a world that often doesn’t know how to support that vision. After this trip, we have all found support.
On the last night of the trip, we all sat around a bonfire with champagne (that Indira has just finished sabering) and went around stating the highlights of the trip. That common thread? That surrounding ourselves with individuals who encounter our same struggles, internalize our same hopes and dreams, and, support our individual visions is necessary and can be life changing. Motivating. Liberating.
I’ll leave you with a quote one of the members of our group stated during her highlight, “This group was brought here, together, for some specific reason.” Thank you @miravalresorts . Thank you to the women at google, and all the others I met during this journey. I am so grateful. I will be back.
