Congratulations to Nancy (pictured left, who runs our #Regina office operations) for recently volunteering as a Vice-Chair and helping put together a successful @timhortons#Brier2018! 📷: @curlingcanada & Michael Burns
The only thing missing at the Regina Brier was my lack pre-event practice playing Frogger.🐸 This was the fewest rocks I’ve seen on King Eddie’s sheet since the 1992 Juniors.
This could be the last time I’ll be seen wearing “relegation colours” for a few years😂 As I jealously drool while watching the last couple slams on TV of the season, my better half and I plan our journey toward opportunity with curling and with careers. Ottawa, the 6ix, Winterpeg, Cow Town and Vansterdam are all very viable options at this point. The exciting part is that we don’t really give a &% #@ where we land!
Curling has dealt me a hand of unbelievable opportunities from the time I stepped on the ice at the clueless age of 7. I’ve been gifted a choice to fold that hand or go all in. The exciting part is that every one of us is playing on house money so why the hell not shove?!💰
My 3rd Brier highlights of the week:
✔️ Stands jammed full of die-hard fans👵🏻👶🏼
✔️ A patch as far as the eye of Douglas, N.B can see🍺
✔️ 70th Annual Morning Class🍎
✔️ @chrisgallant7 Brier virginity💪🏼
✔️ @mccann1218 Brier virginity🏆
✔️ @kidby21 first impression on parents and room 18o’Schille
✔️ Sweat Collective Member🙅🏼♀️
✔️ Long overdue reunions with fellow curlers (& brier alcoholics) @findmelater90@mattydunstone28@michaelrfournier@knapper_k@knapper_t@tscoff, etc.
✔️ The outstanding collection of past/present/future curling volunteers👏🏼
✔️ Achieving all this season’s goals and posting about them in the sappiest of fashions💯

Everyone say hi to “Peekaboo Pam” aka “Kim or Mother.” Isn’t she the cutest?! 😩💞 #brier2018
How fun was The Brier?! We loved every minute of it. Congrats to our “between ends” game winners. Because of you, the Sandra Schmirler Foundation will receive $1,000 plus a bonus of $500 from our consolation winners. #casinoregina#brier2018@curlingcanada

Congratulations to our very own Roger Smith for his Volunteer of the Year Award! @curlingcanada awarded Mr. Smith with the prestigious prize before the start of the #Brier2018 Final yesterday. We are proud of this achievement by a volunteer and President of a curling club that is not even open yet! Curling Club Des Collines will open its doors in September of this year.
Probably the busiest, but best week of my career. Tim Hortons Brier has been the event I've wanted to cover for forever, and I'm truly thankful I've been able to do it #Brier2018#PicWithVic

What an incredible performance at the #brier2018 by team Canada! Brad Gushue feels that now he has gotten that first Brier win out of the way, the team feels “free” of that pressure to win. The team shot lights out in their final two draws en route to their second consecutive Brier victory! #curling
It’s been five years since our last Brier but it felt like yesterday. Such a great weekend with my mom, thanks #yqr and #Brier2018. Also - Curtis and Darcy made great human curling rocks yesterday. 😂🥌☺️❤️
I’d call my first night back in Canada a smashing success. #brier2018 🍁🍺🥌🏒

The #Brierpatch was an amazing spot to be all week, but it got WILD on Friday and Saturday night. The city was teeming with rumours of this massive beer garden, so the local nightlife joined the curlers and curling fans to experience it for themselves. #Reigna was buzzing late into the evening last night! #Curling#brier2018
Sara England joins Joan McCusker, Marcia Gudereit, and Jan Betker on the ice to throw the ceremonial opening stone at the #brier2018 . In an emotional tribute to the success of her mother’s legendary curling rink, Sara throws a perfect stone, laying it right on the button. #curling
It’s John Epping’s lucky coin from the 1992 Brier in Regina given to him by a member of the Peterborough Curling Club #Brier2018#yqr

Something about this team doesn’t feel like an “underdog” story. From his time as a Junior curler, Brendan Bottcher has competed with the best in canada. This week, he and his confident Alberta team are showing the curling world that years of experience at the top stages in curling have added up to this incredible, well deserved run. Now, they have a chance to convert this run into a Brier Tankard Win. #Brier2018#Curling#TeamBottcher
