Hitting a tune up for the Payton Jordan 5k and hoping I can hold my form this well at the end of the race!
First 5k of my pro career, hoping to come away with a big PR but don’t plan on moving up from the 1500m anytime soon.
The unfolding of my running shoe battle gear over the years. I started off with #niketailwind which isn't shown, and then I switched over to the #nikeairpegasus which were ok but had minimal cushioning imo. Ran my first marathon in the #sauconyride series and they did good! Constantly adjusted the tongue ,though. I then slipped into some #nikezoom . These were super lightweight but found my calves cramping up during high mileage. The following year I was fitted with #brooksghost shoes. These things are amazing. They felt like extensions of my feet while I ran. The tongues always stayed in place due to the placing of a lace loop in the tongue. Ran my third marathon in these bad boys and I loved them. My latest pair are the #brooksbeast series. These are super comfortable, great cushioning , and my foot feels natural in the shoe. Can't wait to run a full in these things!
Now, I can finally throw out my old shoes..
Taking some down time during a hard training cycle to explore the trails of Park City 🐺
An important part of training is making sure to take time to unwind by doing something you enjoy outside of running; you’ll recover physically and mentally, so you can get back to crushing your workouts!
