Otro día en la oficina! 😊
Si necesito distenderme, buscar inspiración, o simplemente estar solo, me voy a la Oficina!🙂
Another day at the office! 😊
If I need to relax, find inspiration, or just be alone, I go to the Office! 🙂
Did anyone else’s Sunday look more or less like this? I had every intention to make it a productive day of planning for the week but we ended up seeing a midday movie (Ant Man and the Wasp because Marvel films + Paul Rudd are the best) and then lounged at home doing crossword puzzles (because we are 80.) Jimmie had to remind me that’s it’s okay to do nothing every now and then so I’m feeling guilt free (but also ready for Monday! 😜)

The Yashica-D is a classic TLR (Twin Lens Reflex), known as an "old-timey" camera to some. These are great cameras, but those unfamiliar to it might be wondering, why TLR? The cinematic feel of the standard waist-level finder is one of our favorite parts about twin lens reflex cameras. The world looks magical through a medium format waist level finder.
The stationary mirror behind the upper lens also means that these cameras make the barest of noise when fired and your view through the finder never blacks out. If you’re doing portraiture, you’ll know if someone blinks at just the wrong moment. ⠀
And of course the aesthetic of the two lens design is quite fetching. TLR cameras just look different than other single lens cameras.
But we’re curious: what are your favorite aspects to using twin lens cameras? What quirks or characteristics do you enjoy? What surprised you the most when you first started to use these bi-lensed contraptions?
A veces esperar es lo mejor!
A veces quedarse quieto es la mejor opción!
Pero no sé si el silencio es una buena decisión!
Y no me refiero al silencio de las palabras, sino al de los hechos! .
Collaborating with other creatives is so inspiring. You both come to the table with ideas that you want to bring to life. For me, a lot of the time, I start with a few ideas in my head, but I typically rely on my surroundings to inspire the creative flow.
I know this shot is not one that Jessica had in mind, but I saw it in my head and she was kind enough to indulge me. And I really like it! 😊
I am making a conscious effort to get back to blogging again. So, if you go to my blog, you'll be able to see all my favorites from this epic session!!
