Everything in this shot is either under the water's surface or a reflection.
This plant grows in a cypress dome that I monitor once a week in east Orlando. It blankets the floor of the cypress dome before the water levels rise at the beginning of the wet season (see picture 2 which is cropped from a vertical pic btw). I'm unsure what plant this is. It's near an urban areas so it very well may be a nonnative, but my best guess is a Ludwigia species. Anyone else have any guesses?
I'm going to keep an eye on them and try to photograph any flowers as the season goes on which should help with identifying them. In the meantime, I thought this shot turned out pretty neat! 🙂
