Nobody sees what we see. They're just hopelessly gazing

Have you ever been too worried about taking your kids to an unfamiliar big city by yourself that you put off doing it? That was me! But a friend and I got past the fear and took our kids to Chicago. We drove to a nearby train station and took the train in so we wouldn’t have to worry about parking. It was so fun and easy. So get out and take an adventure! Btw we have some wonderful QP’s in Chicago who can help you stroll the city in style with high end strollers to make it even easier. #chicago#babyquip#travelingmoms#adventure#sheddaquarium#tourist#kids#fish#jellyfish#train
Can’t wait to go back 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 no matter how big the city I’m visiting is, but it always feel so much more peaceful and cleaner than NY! Don’t get me wrong, I love it in here, but I miss the peacefulness a bit... do you?

⚡️ here’s the announcement: i’ve made a commitment to write a book, working title ‘Life is Absurd’. i realized after a lot of speaking and interviews that younger versions of me want a real, raw account of entrepreneurship and what comes along with it. the good and the bad. no filter, no agenda, no fluff.
this is not another “business superhero” book. in fact, I blame those for some of the romanticism and toxic narrative about entrepreneurship. this will be an unpolished look at the reality of taking on the world when you’re woefully underqualified, learning who you are by getting too close to the edge, the wrong ways to deal with the pressure, the minefield you create by loving risk, and ultimately, accepting the hilarity and absurdity of it all.
most don’t realize that what you observe is the opposite of what’s actually happening behind the scenes. most don’t realize we entrepreneurs rarely have a damn clue of what we’re doing. most don’t realize I was broke and in debt until just a handful of years ago. most don’t realize I hit bottom and almost didn’t survive the journey.
i’m mostly done with the writing and am looking forward to publishing next year. I appreciate everyone who has contributed / encouraged me. and i’m excited to be able to use this as a platform to interact with the next generation of entrepreneurs.
and yes @klerash, *that* story is in the book.
let me know what you think 📚😊
Photo by @michaelclarkphoto // Cloud Gate is a sculpture created by Anish Kapoor in downtown Chicago’s Millenium Park that invites interaction. It has been nicknamed “The Bean” and reflects both the city and the viewers, bending, stretching and distorting everything into wild shapes (see the second image). For photographers this sculpture is exhilarating as it has endless photographic opportunities. #chicago#cloudgate#thebean
