Some days you just have to #chillax ❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 Wednesdays are my weekend and today I’m grateful for space to rest, relax and rejuvenate especially as this weekend will be quite full working three days at the Devon Yoga Festival. However, rest days do NOT mean just sitting on my arse. As a necessity, rest days must include housework (cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc), music practice (next gig is this Sunday night in Exmouth) and, of course, the usual yoga practice, study and admin for ongoing classes, workshops and retreats. As we can’t always completely drop our priorities and responsibilities to run off on vacation, we can take little cat naps and mini home holiday moments to put our feet up and breath deep. The rest comes by sinking into each day just as we sink into each yoga pose when we practice - e.g. with sthira sukham asanam - steady, comfortable, ease. .
