Day 3 - #30days30destinations ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have been to Kyoto twice, and the second time was much better as I already knew that Kyoto is a big city.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ My first visit I thought it was a smaller historic place with temples and such, and while some areas are still filled with old temples and houses, there is so much more to Kyoto than one might think.
And that’s why I would like to include it for my 30 destinations 🇯🇵
One of unique food in Ishinomaki is Hoya! It is a special seafood famous around Ishinomaki and hardly can be found on another place. The taste is very hard to explain, and it is the “love it or hate it” kind of food. I personally love it but heard even lots of Japanese don’t really like it. It is usually eaten on it’s own while drinking sake.
Check out the slides to see it’s real shape! It’s kinda disgusting but it’s delicious! ☺️
Kinkakuji - Temple of the Golden Pavilion. Didn’t realize the gardens closed at 5pm, and paid to get in 15 minutes before closing (and of course the people at the entrance didn’t feel like mentioning it 😑). Snapped a few pictures as everyone was herded out!
