I see it all. the. time. Girls saying, “I don’t want to lift weights, I don’t want to get bulky.” 😏
Want to know my response? Weights don’t make you bulky, cupcakes do. 🍰 But that’s none of my business....
Muscle takes up less space than fat. Strength training does. not. make. you. bulky. You do not have to train to look like She-Hulk. I lifted 6,744 pounds this morning and thanks to all the lean muscle in my body, I’m going to burn more calories today at 145 than I did at 160 when I started working out in my garage more than years ago. That means more food for me...and you know I love my food.
Day 2 of 56 is in the books and there's still time to join me if you're ready to have your cake and eat it too. Drop me and emoji or DM, send me an owl, whatever you need to do. Just don't wait if you're ready. The time is now.
It’s okay to be alone in your own thoughts. It shows that you’re one with yourself. 💭 🔮

I found ✌🏾& serenity while traveling to #pasadena#texas. Sitting at the very top of the #vessel and feeling nothing but the wind blowing is such a relief as well. Being in the ocean with nothing around me besides water and the sky is apart of my #gypsy spirit. Don’t wanna bore you with writing a book but I really love my career. 🔮 ✌🏾 #timelapse .

I’m lovin this setup we had at Ice Lake! Mountains, Gatorade blue water, and our trusty tent. We heard a rumor they are pushing to outlaw camping in this area because humans are destroying it- just a side note to respect the Leave No Trace principle. Always put your tent at least 200 feet from the water!! I know this picture is deceiving, but it is in fact that far away!
Diana is here.
Let’s talk about posing.
When I first started doing photography- I had a strong vision about what I want these pictures to look like. I always knew what kind of pose would be suitable for my photo but... Since I was only able to get my friends to pose for me (not professional models) - I had to learn how to guide them thru the process. I feel like there is nothing worse than to get your photo and feel like the pose just did not work out for that exact person. I defined three most important tasks when pose my models. I need to:
🌸Make them look right, the way you would want to look on the pictures yourself. ( It has to be flattering. No one is perfect and it’s photographers responsibility to pose the model so nothing unwanted is showing). 🌸 It has to look natural (note that I said look. Because most likely it won’t feel natural unless you doing some documentary style photography). It also photographer’s responsibility to comfort the model and be as clear as possible about the result. 🌸 It has to match with the face expression, the place you are shooting at, the outfit and everything else included to the photo. Like in the literature- the union of the place, time and action.
When I’m preparing for some sort of the shoot- I’m all about making the mood board. It saves tons of time at the shoot, and sometimes makes more sense to the model.
But remember that most likely you will have to improvise because sometimes the pose doesn’t fit the model so you have to strike another one.
A few things to remember while posing the model:
❌ Do not tell your model “Just do something”. It’s intimidating and never works out. If you are not prepared as a photographer- it’s your fault. Posing the model is a part of your job.
⭕️ Always remind them how good they look. They want to hear that. Always.
❌ Don’t think that you will be able to fix anything in photoshop afterwards. Chances that you will forget or just tired at the point of editing are high. If something doesn’t work- don’t waste your time on it.
⭕️ Start with simple poses and keep adding more and more movement as the model gets comfy during the shoot.
So there you go! I hope that was helpful! Diana ☀️
