Side Twist is a very challenging exercice that recruits a large number of muscles in different phases of the movement. Two key potential benefits it offers relate to rotational core stability, as well as strengh and complex coordination of vital muscles of the shoulder complex. Excellent mechanics of the shoulder are required when performing Side Twist to reap the potential benefits and prevent potentially serious injury.

Vztah rychlosti, síly a zvolené zátěže... to je oč tu běží. Vytvoření load-velocity profilu pomocí akcelerometru k odhadnutí maximální váhy na jedno opakování (1RM) již před samotným klasickým testováním. Po úvodním zapracování jsme díky změřené rychlosti na submaximalní zátěži vypočítali předpokládané 1RM, které jsme si následně potvrdili reálným testem do maxima. Odchylka v předpokládaném a reálným 1RM byla nakonec velmi malá, což je díky blízkému vztahu rychlosti a zátěže. Takové testování maximálních silových schopností může být vhodné pro mladší sportovce, po delším výpadku z tréninku, pro úsporu času v nabitém programu nebo např. jako motivační prvek před klasický 1RM test. 🤔☝️💪🇺🇸 The relationship between velocity, force and load ... that's the question. We made a load-velocity profile using an accelerometer to find out the estimated maximum weight per one repetition (1RM) before the classic test. After the initial warm-up, we calculated the estimated 1RM, based on the measured velocity on the submaximal loads, which we later confirmed by the real test to the maximum. The deviation in estimated and real 1RM was very small, due to the close relationship between velocity and load. It’s not the biggest, but it’s done very well for four decades. I’ve happily spent thousands of dollars here. They drive a hard bargain and are known for that.
