A beer, a book, and a balcony. It doesn’t get much better than that. From Old Yale Brewing Co, and part of the Trailblazer series: Oak Aged Braggot Collab. It’s the first collab offering from Old Yale, and was made with 2 Crows Brewing out in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia. It’s a beer and mead blend,(a braggot), and is amazing. We’re talking wildflower honey, wine yeast, vanilla notes, and some German Hallertau Blanc hops to give a white grape finish. It has a lingering hoppy bitterness,(not strong at all), but the honey taste is all finish. A great, and unique beer! It’s a single batch, limited release so when it’s gone, it’s gone. This gives me sad face. ☹️ ABV 8.0% IBU Not listed

Jugosito @firestonewalker_propagator was released today and I had to come in to get it. It's a coconut NEIPA. The body and balance of the base are spot on and the adjunct coconut is ridiculous on the nose and taste. The mouthfeel is right where it should be. Fantastic beer! #crowlerfill
"Neon Nightmare" by Outcast Brewing... So maybe I'm biased 🤷🏼♂️ but how could you not enjoy this DDH?

When your beer/glassware matches the can perfectly, it makes me feel way more put together than I actually am 😬 we absolutely loved this @newparkbrewing Raspberry Blender. They completely and perfectly captured the essence of both tart and sweet for this and the smell of it is just as perfect! Great body, rich mouthfeel, and so so smooth

@fremontbrewing Head Full Of Dynomite Hazy India Pale Ale V.4. 6.8% with Mosaic Lupulin Cryo Powder, Centennial, Sorachi Ace and El Dorado hops.
This is the 4th installment of Fremont Brewing’s ongoing series of hazy IPAs...each one different than the last and produced about every six weeks. Version 1 had Chinook, Mosaic and Ekuanot hops, Version 2 had Columbus and Vic Secret hops, Version 3 had Simcoe, Simcoe Cryo, Sorachi Ace and Mosaic hops and Version 4 (this one) has Mosaic Lupulin Cryo Powder, Centennial, Sorachi Ace and El Dorado hops. This one poured an opaque orange color with a loosely packed head that disappears quickly. Nose contains notes of bready malt, slight citrus, some floral notes and booze. In the mouth this one was a little earthy, and slightly spicy with decent hoppiness, but pretty bitter. The citrus or juiciness didn’t come through at all on the tongue, the booze was pretty apparent even at 6.8% and it had a somewhat medicinal aftertaste. This was a big letdown for me and was by far the least favorite of the four versions so far. I’d rank them Version 1, Version 3, Version 2 and lastly Version 4 (this one). I’ll be looking forward to the next release from @fremontbrewing in this series, but this one was a big miss for me.

Today I realized it's been half a year since I canceled my internet, in an effort to save money while simultaneously forcing myself to be more productive at making money. I was tired of coming home from work simply to sit around on my phone and/or watching Netflix. That is not how I want to spend all my hours. I waste enough of my life at my job, I didn't need to waste the rest. And it was frustrating because I had so much I wanted to DO, but once I got home I was so drained and had no ambition or energy, so it was easy to just be a lazy potato doing absolutely nothing.
Fast forward to now. After work I either read, take photos, or paint. I also go through period of video gaming but I still think that's better than tv..I've been better about doing yoga, and I'm making significant improvements on my flexibility which has always eluded me in life. Even as a kid my body is like hell nah (never in my life been able to touch my toes) and while I still can't do any cool poses and I look like some awkward jagged pile of limbs, I'm proud of my progress and work hard not to compare myself to all the girls who are super flexible and graceful and make me feel like I'm less. It's not fair to me nor them to have negative feelings. Regardless of how "better" and possibly more attractive they are to me, if I can put my hands flat by the time I'm 30 I'll be overly proud of myself. And now I'm actually making progress towards that.
In short, I feel so liberated and like I'm actually an interesting human being with something of a purpose. Not that I wasn't before. But for a while I felt like I wasn't GOING anywhere in life. Like there had to be more than just my routine of going to work and coming home. I felt so empty and listless. Sure I also moved in between there, but a change in scenery doesn't necessarily change your lifestyle.
And the sad part is, I could've always been doing all these things while I had internet. It purely showed how bad my self control and motivation was. I had to actually go and remove the easiness of being lazy before I changed my habits. Oh to clarify, I also didn't have data on my phone. Only 2G each month.
