One client request (demand) was that the pillows couldn’t be too “fancy”, they had to be comfortable enough to take a nap on, durable enough for the occasional pillow fight, and good looks would be a bonus. How’d I do? #designninja#projectwyndehurst#iphonephoto

Okay, it's confession time. Like many of you, I have been obsessed with Nancy Meyers movies (i.e. Father of the Bride, It's Complicated, Something's Gotta Give, etc) for a very long time. Funny female leads mixed with classic design will always win in my books. I'll never forget when I first laid eyes on Meryl's house in It's Complicated and don't even get me started on the bakery scene with Steve Martin - 😍! Our new arrivals have been inspired by all of those beautiful sets over the years - can't wait for you to lay eyes on it all this week! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A little Moroccan runner love; these beauties can be placed in hallways, foyers, in kitchens, at the foot or side of bed, next to a large rug in another room, or positioned in front of a credenza (like so). Endless places for these fun pieces!
This famous blue and white tent room at Schloss Charlottenhof, designed in 1830 for the Ladies in Waiting by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, has inspired many. 💙 Swipe👉🏻 for a peek at a charming, blue and white tented room 🎪 created by @markdsikes. •⠀

Facelift Friday (no, not my face): what do you think of this before and after? Do you have a piece that needs some love?

There are 2 sneak peaks in this photo: 1. those gorgeous indigo two sided throws that will be on the site next week and 2. the introduction to my best friend (and husband), Steve. He's officially in the feed!!! 💕
New arrivals being added to the shop next week! Have a lovely weekend all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There are many exhibitors here at #DallasMarket who have brought wares from all over the world. I asked her permission to take her picture and she said yes. She’s from Kenya and I’ve rarely seen a young woman so beautiful and have never seen a woman as exotically dressed as she was. #designhounds

Meet Striata! Made from 100% Northwest Douglas Fir structural beams from the responsibly harvested lumber of SFI® certified forests, Striata turns these overlooked beams into a beautiful surface. These beams are traditionally hidden behind sheetrock, laminated and painted as solid core doors, or used as scaffold planking. Striata brings out the beautiful aesthetic potential within each unique beam. Our process transforms Douglas Fir beams into visually stunning panels with proven durability and performance in a wide variety of demanding commercial environments.
One of my favorite things to do as an interior designer is to honor the architectural bones and details of a structure and add current 21st century pieces and accents. Do you like the contrast?

Feeling romantic? #swoon 💓
Those elaborate moldings are faux! Wonderful example of trompe l’oeil. #designdictionary 🎨

One of the most beautiful photo shoots I remember to this day. Here’s to all ‘My Fair Lady’-inspired spaces and interiors. To romanticism in all its guises. And to all those who inspire my work day by day.
