getting ready for my shoot tonight that’s going to be filled with camp fires, beach sunsets & s’mores

I’ve had 3 weeks off wedding season for some big events including grandma’s 80th birthday trip, hosting a reunion for my Irish family, and being a leader at YFC camp in Maryland.
As much fun as it’s been I’m sure happy to be home and back to work! Yesterday’s wedding was a stunner! Check my story for a few more photos 💕

Sending off some galleries + feeling so much peace. I'm chasing slow today.
I feel like I'm always behind or running to get ahead - but today, I'm internationally trying to just sit still and be present. 😌
Yay for sweet Sunday's. ✨ #kimberlymeadphotos
I’m heading out of town again this week and I’m on the bus and I’m just sitting here by myself smiling like a weirdo. I just can’t handle how much fun I had at at all my shoots this past week. My schedule was so packed and crazy and I actually miss it already.
Hi friends, it’s me!
Last weekend I had the chance to see @scottymccreery in concert and he said something that really stuck with me. He talked about how country music is just real people telling real stories.. I thought to myself about how that explains exactly what I want to be doing!
I don’t want to be someone who is trying to capture the feature account worthy post. I want to be the person who captures your essence and tells your story through a photo. I want to be there to capture the silly, candid, and real emotions.
So if being a goofball, running around and getting dirty, and just all around having a blast is your jam, then let me and my camera third wheel with you, and we’ll have a blast and make some awesome memories!
If I had five dollars for every time my couples told me they werent photogenic or they’re too awkward, I would be rich. I’m not here to pose you in front of my camera, I’m here to aid you in being comfortable enough to be yourselves in front of a camera, and that alone makes you photogenic and adorable. 😏 So let’s tell your story!
We almost plunged off a cliff to our death 15 times on the drive here but at least it was worth it. Also #thickthighssavelives 🙃

This photo cracks me up... The entire wedding party is looking at me like "What the heck is she trying to explain to us?!". 😅
You guys were so much fun! I can't wait to share more of this wedding early this week! 🗻🚠
Thanks @shalenedawnphotography for the photo!
Janelle & Ali 🖤 Is there anything sweeter than a first look? 😍! If you've already experienced it, what was it like for you? If you haven't [yet] what do you anticipate it to feel like?
For us, we anticipate it to be emotional. Tara won't be able to hold back the 'ugly happy tears' & Arlia, well her smile will probably be the biggest it's ever been.

The Desert Botanical Garden was beautiful that day!
This moment was so candid, you can just feel the love so much here!!! Kara and Curtis, your wedding was beyond wonderful and I’m so glad I got to be the one to capture it! Many more to come from this beautiful day 😍

Ladies looking fly! Big bridal parties are my favourite thing lately - so fun to be surrounded by all your favourite people on your big day. Second shot with the amazing @michellekarst
It’s really dang hot today and as a Texan I feel obligated to complain about it on social media. Just ordered an extra large pool for dogs and I can’t wait for it to get here so I can splash around in it with Tex. He refuses to play outside because it’s been too hot 😂
It’s anniversary week in our home (anyone else hitched on July 19th?) and we camped out at Sam’s Throne this weekend. To celebrate here are two pics of us at Sam’s Throne that @bulgercreativeco took of us & @ozarkmtnflowertruck made oh so lovely with her blooms (swipe swipe to see! 💐). Our life looks little like what we planned four years ago, but I’ll tell you what, it’s more beautiful and brilliant than we could have imagined. 💛
Be honest, would you get married on a home-made net 400 feet above a canyon in Moab? With just an ankle leash as protection? We don’t really shoot weddings at “venues” anymore, but if this counts, it’s by far the coolest venue I’ve seen 🤘🏻 @theslackgoddess@slackinhigh, just scrolling through your wedding photos again, what’s new? I miss you buds!
Couples that are down with getting in the water is quickly becoming my new favorite thing! Thank you Amie and Addi for being such a riot last night!
The water started out cold, but after a moment was the most refreshing thing, so who’s next?!

I’ve probably shot 1,000 photos of couples standing right here...but believe me when I say it never gets old. This is one of the most beautiful overlooks I’ve ever seen and watching people experience it for the first time is unforgettable. Something about peering down at El Cap, bringing up whatever the most recent mega climbing feat it has seen (this season was “Yeah, two guys climbed that, 3,000 feet, in under two hours last week!”), showing them the points people jump off to fly their wing suits through the valley...I guess when you love something so dearly, you never get tired of telling people about it. When something means this much, getting to show it to so many people feels like the best job on earth. Add in the fact that we get to bring our cameras and take the most epic photos our couples have ever had of themselves! There are worse jobs out there 😝
“She is fireflies & freedom. Tall grass & tulips. A true barefoot beauty. Sometimes I love to watch her think, and wonder where her mind wanders, and hope to God that I am with her.” - R.A Broderick

Saturday mornings + breakfast in bed. Not realistic for me bc I fell asleep on the couch editing last night and even if I did make it to bed I would wake up looking like a yeti with multiple small bodies all around me. I also prefer mega stuff Oreos for breakfast and I don’t like to share so 🙃
