[ENG]🇬🇧 - Have an amazing holiday everyone!! ❤️❤️❤️ don't forget to take care of nature. It's our HOME!
[PT]🇵🇹 - Tenham todos um ótimo feriado! ❤️❤️❤️ não se esqueçam de cuidar da natureza, é o nosso LAR!
🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 Australia’s largest lizard, the Goanna or more formally the Perentie is considered vulnerable with declining numbers
Threatened by a few things including habitat loss, frequent collisions with traffic and feral animals, one major threat to this animal is an example of how the removal of one species that is inconvenient for humans can be devastating for another
Termites which pose an obvious risk to property are vital to the survival of goannas in the wild. Oddly goannas lay their eggs inside termite mounds. Termites rigourously control the temperature and humidity of their homes creating the perfect conditions for incubating the fragile goanna eggs. As a result, the distruction or removal of termites in particular habitats directly impacts goannas as well
Presently their appear to be little conservation efforts directed towards the goanna but I predict this will change over the next decade. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 .

Back in the studio today for Climate Listening Project #podcast series with @SpeakingofTravel on iHeartRadio! How is climate change impacting places we love to travel? *Places people also call home. How can the stories we tell help us work together towards real solutions for the places we love? .
This episode, joining me and host Marilyn Ball in the studio is Rita Frost of @dogwoodalliance and Rev. Leo Woodberry. People love to travel to forests for hiking, biking, chasing waterfalls, river rafting, birding, fishing, and just exploring and enjoying natural places. Forests are life-sustaining. Forests provide us with the very air we breathe and clean our drinking water supply. Forests are one of the greatest forces for helping us survive the worst effects of climate change. Forests protect us from flooding. Flooding from hurricanes and powerful storms affect tens of millions of us each year, creating health and housing crises and costing billions of dollars. The U.S. South is the world’s number one source of lumber, paper and wood pellets. Southern forests are being destroyed by the large-scale production of these products and communities who depend on these forests suffer the most. We discuss efforts to protect forests and communities by putting Justice First. .
Speaking of Travel + Climate Listening Project will air this weekend on 880 The Revolution and News Radio 570 WWNC, plus anywhere in the world via the @iheartradio app, and on
It's always summer here! 🏝⚓️🛥💦
Look at this beautiful top view of Las Croabas in Fajardo, Puerto Rico that @amazing787 is sharing with us.
Las Croabas is a small fishing community at 40 minutes from San Juan.
Its main attraction is the Bio bay, which glows after the sunset; one of the most amazing phenomenum of nature.
Would you like to see your hands glowing in this waters?
A large black Morph Manta Ray barrell rolls through the water.
Manta Rays display this acrobatic behaviour when the microscopic plankton that they feed on is abundant throughout the middle of the water column. This allows them to maximise the amount they consume over a short period of time.
It also provides an incredible display for all who are lucky enough to witness it!

They are peculiar creations of unlimited kindness and benevolence. They make no demands for their sustenance yet they extend generously to us the product of their life activities; they afford protection to all beings, they exhale so we could inhale, they detoxify our atmosphere, they avail to us food and shelter, out of their magnanimity we are able to cure our aliments.
Ever wondered what a world without these peculiar creations will look like? Yh, me too.
They are indeed our best ally!
The least we can do is to nurture and protect them.

Our whole lives the Amazon Rainforest was shrouded in mystic mystery. The ideas that came to us when we thought about it were only images brought to us by movies and adventure tv shows. So we allowed ourselves to dive into the unknown. All we knew is that we were searching for something “real” and whatever that meant in the Amazon rainforest we were desperate to figure out. ✌️ Read about our full experience in our new blog👉link in the bio!
