Sometimes you just need to pick something up and pound it against something else... and 99.9% of the time it’ll make you feel better... it’s science... look it up! 😜.

Low quality pic, high quality workout ⚡️✨😅 First time in a gym in a few weeks and man am I happy to be back! Shoutout to @zdcopeland for the @equinox hookup 💥 ALSOOOOO does anyone else feel SO much better during a workout when your outfit matches?
I got my Pilot license. Wheels up 🛫
Feels so good and painful to be back in the gym. The spiritual and physical body are synced together. When both are nurtured they operate in harmony giving total clarity of mind while also helping you do things you normally wouldn’t be able to do. When one is out of balance or in poor condition it throws the other one off 🚀
Okay Barre Babes 🤗...I had SO many requests for this one that I brought it back! Of course in a different color combo 🎨 because honestly I could sport this many days. 👯♀️🍷
Also, side note, every time I look at this tank I want to pop a bottle and pour a glass of wine. 🤣🍷 Which is a lot when you’re the one designing 🖊, shooting📷, editing 🖥, and posting 📱 this tank! 😂🤣 ➖ ➖

Don’t worry about other’s perception of you - you know yourself best. I want to tell you this...PUT IN A COMMA WHERE OTHERS PUT IN A PERIOD. Don’t stop yourself from reaching that endgame - regardless your age, your mentality, your camaraderie - DO NOT STOP. Take a break, give a pause, but then keep fighting. Take out feeling embarrassed, instead feel embraced.
Today marks my 2 year anniversary working for @equinox. This honestly should be my bio board pic (Jill? Joan? Can we make it happen?). Seriously though, working here has made me a better trainer, teacher, coach and most importantly person.
Summarized back story: when I was 17 y/o (10 years ago) I decided to become a personal trainer, my goal was to be the best I can be in the fitness industry (still is), I googled “gym with elite personal trainers”, Equinox was the first to pop up. After researching what it took, I put my passion and all my efforts into being ready to apply and work there. Thankfully my plans worked, little did I know that was the easiest part lmao 😅Through all of the grind, mental breakdowns, late nights, early mornings and forever hustle in these 2 years I can finally say I made it and my 17 y/o self would be so proud. I still have a lot to learn and A LOT more work to do but can’t wait to see what more I can be. The amount of passion I have for training is unmeasurable. Forever learning, forever growing. I’m thankful for everyone who’s helped and pushed me to be better, you know who you are. #thankful#blessed#workhard#beproud#fitness#equinox#grind#motivation#gym#personaltrainer#girlswholift#girlswhoread#tier3#trainer#equinoxmademedoit#knowledge#grow#success#passion#lookuptoyourself#foreveranerdass#withbiggoals
“If My Clothes Could Talk”- Instagram Edition
This is a black eyelet dress from Banana Republic that I bought back in 2014. I loved it so much that I bought 2 of them, in 2 different sizes. At the time, neither dress fit me and the reason I bought that same dress in a smaller size was so that as I continued to loose weight, the smaller one would fit me. Back then, I was in “weight loss mode” and had even hired a personal trainer. To make a long story short, I never lost enough weight to fit into the larger of the 2 dresses, I regained the weight I had lost plus gained an additional 36 pounds. (The one I’m wearing in this pic is the larger of the 2 dresses. As I loose more weight, I’ll fit into the smaller one)
The difference between back then and now is that back then, I was doing “temporary” things in order to lose weight and had never even thought of creating sustainable lifestyle changes that would enable me to loose my excess weight so that afterwards I would permanently maintain it off.
Currently, my lifestyle daily habits have changed so much that I would never regain any of the weight that I’ve lost since I’ve finally found what works for me, it’s sustainable (to me) & I’m happy with the changes.
I had tried on that black dress on the first week of doing Whole30 (3 weeks ago) and it would only zip up half of the way. Today I tired it on again and it EASILY zipped up the whole way.
As an ex-athlete, I've had to rediscover what fitness means to me. In the highly competitive world of sports, I was constantly focused on what would make me perform harder, better, faster, and stronger. My sport brought me some great experiences and took me around the world, but mentally I struggled.
Even at the peak of my athletic physical fitness, I was insecure about my body. I was ashamed of my muscular physique. Instead of appreciating all the amazing things my body could do, I chose to be critical of it.
It took time to change this type of thinking, and sometimes those negative thoughts do happen. I read a recent post from @cleowade with a sentence that said, "shame is sneaky and relentless." This resonated with me, because shame was exactly what I felt. Shame that what I saw in the mirror did not match up to what I was conditioned to believe was beautiful. Even in the rare moment when I could be feeling confident in the power of my body, there would be a part of my mind that would second guess myself.
Body positivity is hard. I don't believe there is a finish line to living in complete body love. At different times in our lives, there will be different challenges. Self love has to be something we are willing to rediscover over and over.
Now, instead of criticizing myself, I do things that make my body feel good. As a result, I enjoy fitness in a different way than ever before. I do not feel ashamed about my strength. I may not be competing anymore, but I feel much better about myself now. I recognize there is much more to do, but that is what excites me! -- xx The Healthlete
✖️ 2 - Week Progression! ✖️ .
- As i noted a couple weeks ago , i would be sharing my progression with calisthenic based training on the parallettes. Although I still have a ways to go , my mind is slowly unlocking to allow my body to do things I’ve never imagined i could do. My core & lat engagement has increased significantly over just a two week period! But nonetheless I’m having fun with it sky’s the limit! 💪🏾 - ( I promise those falls weren’t as hard and violent as i made them look sheesh 😂)
It might not always feel like you’re doing “enough” to be where and who you want to be. Trust the process. You are exactly where you should be. You are enough and will always be worth more than you know. Tuck that chin, put on a big fat grin and press on baby.
Summer is nearly over and it’s about time for another 30 day challenge!! Challenge starts September 1st ( yes, Saturday) Are you ready to make a change?

And if I asked you to name all the things you love, how long would it take you to name yourself? 💭
You only get one life, one mind, one body - fight for them and more importantly, cherish them. Self-love is the hardest thing to train, but when you find the strength, you’re completely unstoppable! 💪🏻
Ladies - I challenge you to be your own #wcw every once in a while. 💃🏻
