My visit to Vigur Island in the West Fjords was spectacular. Puffins, eider ducks, arctic terns, seals and other arctic creatures all made an appearance to the bird paradise. The arctic terns were viscous and very protective of their hatchlings but I was lucky to have caught this guy showing his graceful side. Look at those wings!
Then after a guided stroll around the nordic island we were treated to delicious coffee and an array of desserts in the island's historic cafe. This will definitely go down as one of the more high end experiences in my life. #grandtaigatimes#domore

Vik’s black sand beach was beautiful. It rained everyday we were there and the sun broke through early on our last morning just in time for us to capture this amazing view. 🌄
I even brought back a few pebbles as a souvenir 🤫

What an amazing weekend. It started bad with the ferry trip 🤮😂 But it was worth it. I had some really nice time with the birds. There isn’t much to do on Grímsey other than photographing birds. So I did that 😍 And I had to stay in it. Couldn’t leave. It was a good practice for my patience 😉
Now I’m on the ferry - going back to Hjalteyri ⛴

I really don’t like tripods. I’m a bigger fan of iPods and EarPods. Still, I used a tripod to paint this picture. We bonded and now I might use it more often in the future
