McDonald’s failed me again. I put in mobile orders for this reason to make sure it’s plain, and yet still never plain. Only one McDonald’s in my area doesn’t mess this up. I just don’t understand 😞 gotta figure out something else for Josh. #mcdonalds#fail#plain
I literally just got out of the shower 10 minutes back and knew I just HAD to review this shampoo by @aratazerochemicals right away. I’m so extremely disappointed with the shampoo, especially after a blockbuster hair gel. Where do I even begin: this was worse than a sulphate shampoo and argh I’m so disappointed cause I really love their gel and it’s a nice brand too. The shampoo is so drying - it gives you that really horrendous squeaky clean scalp. It literally made my hair so crunchy and I could FEEL the moisture I’d been cultivating over the last 3 weeks just dissolve away. It not only fried my hair badly (yep, I meant to say FRIED), but also made it a really tangly mess. I deep conditioned with my favourite mamaearth Argan mask after shampoo and left it on for over an hour and even that didn’t manage to salvage the situation. This is just so harsh and I can’t understand why. I only see super natural ingredients listed on the back of the bottle, but I don’t really know what’s going on. Don’t even get me started about the smell - ugh 🤢 it’s a really weird chemical smell - kinda like the ammonia smell you get when you get your hair coloured. It’s that plus a really overpowering, artificial blueberry smell. It’s horrible. My hair fell out in droves despite deep conditioning and it has really freaked me out. I couldn’t get my hair to detangle even AFTER using leave in and flaxseed gel and I’m just so terrified of the results tomorrow. I would NEVER recommend this product for curls or straight hair. This is some industrial-level solvent and I’m seriously starting to doubt this ‘zero-chemicals’ claim. I really wanted to try their hair cream/leave in, but I’m on the fence about this brand now. Super disappointed, Arata! Please work with certified curlies for a better shampoo. I’m not even going to use this as a hand wash cause it’s just so drying. This is one product, after 18 months of curly-girl life, that made me want to reach for my silicone-laden conditioner, just so I could offset the damage this has done to my hair. Do not buy this - I’m giving it away for free so drop me a DM if you want this.
