This new piece could work equally wells as as coffee table or TV stand. If you need either hit me up. Live edge Mesquite with figured Granadillo trim and matte black powder coated metal. Measures 59.5"l x 18"w x 15.75"h. #finefurniture#handufactured
Finally finding the time to post some pics of recently finished furniture projects. This one is replacing my Ikea night stand but would make a great end table or single bench. Top is Chechum, legs and spines are hard Maple. Measures 23"l x 11.75"w x 17.5"h. #finefurniture#handufactured

Cleaning and organizing the shop to get ready for the upcoming week. It's not much but it's mine and everything here has been built with my own hands. There is still much to be done but I can come to this place now and create and be happy. #woodshopco
Go with the flow is my second lesson learned (again). Although I designed the legs to be 1 3/4" square my stock just didn't want to be straight and square at that dimension. I ended up with legs that are 1 5/8" square and altered the side rail dimensions to accommodate. Likewise the top was supposed to be 3/4" thick but due to some cupping after glue up it's probably closer to 5/8" after all said and done. Woodworking is all about rolling with the punches and pushing through to the end!
To reduce the chance of chip-out, I use two router bits and flip the pattern/work over when tackling up and down grain. Carpet tape secured the pattern to the work.
Finally feels like real progress is happening on this next puzzle cabinet. I got it rolling and spinning today. The wheels hold it about 1/2” off the ground so when it’s on carpet it should look like it’s resting right on the feet. As the user works through the puzzles and gets it spinning different things will happen automatically, some drawers will open and close and possibly a door as well.

Received my new veneer saw from Brian @bearkatwood . Not only is it a wonderfully made tool, it works and feels awesome. Well worth the wait if you get on his list to make one for you. And as a side note, this black/white ebony handle was a one off, and is not available anymore. Brian has plenty of other options available when he starts taking orders for them again.
Build your own rocking chair course - Day 6 is coming to an end, but not before we get our power carve on 👍 @dewalttough with @kutzall carbide shaping wheels take care of the work, but our eyes must make the lines smooth.
