Tonight’s tea was prawn 🦐 and chorizo in a homemade tomato 🍅 and garlic sauce on a bed of spinach with a jacket potato 🥔 asparagus and corn 🌽💖

This is me now. [[I’m not posting for compliments or reassurance. Allow that please I beg.]] I’ve had a shit week with a bug, on antibiotics, training has been a myth and I’ve been mad undisciplined with food for like 2 months 😱. I also resent the fact that there is expectation of what a fitness professional should look like with no consideration to the fact they are human + also have real life to contend with.
That being said, just like you, I look in the mirror sometimes and just think BLEH!! While I am fully aware I am so much more than my reflection in the mirror, I am not immune to the pressures.
I need to get myself back to a place where I am feeling myself physically; no diets just a pinch of self control and training at my full potential! 🔥 B R I N G I T !

I'M BAAAAAAACK!!!! I had to take a brief IG break for my mental health, but unfortunately I also took a break on working out consistently and making my health a priority. So I'm back.
It's 6 weeks to my wedding TODAY and I've got some work to do. I'm embarking on a 6 week workout plan that puts me back in the weight room 4 days a week, pumping iron and raising that heart rate. I'm also prioritising some additional cardio and nightly yoga into my routine.
AND I'm tweaking my diet (I usually avoid the term, but I am "going on a diet"). I am cutting out bread, dairy, sweets, red meat, beer and wine - but not all alcohol...bc it's summer. I'm increasing my intake of oily fish and leafy green veg and I am pumped!! I had my first hard-core leg workout today and I am pumped for tomorrow!

I did something today that scared the hell out of me. 😟 I got in the pool. Now, to be clear, I can swim...in theory. I am able to keep myself afloat and get to the edge of the pool safely. But I have never been a swimmer. I have been dreading this part of triathlon training and have definitely been putting it off. 😖
But today was the day. I got in. 🏊♀️ All I wanted to do was to get a feel for the movement. I quickly realised that my breathing is the problem. 😤 I need to get the rhythm down and stop my subconscious thought process that I'm drowning. 😫
As with sooooo much in physical training, a huge portion is in your head. 🧠
I'm planning on going back to the pool a couple of times this weekend and would really appreciate any tips anyone has on learning to breathe during freestyle...or any accounts or websites that have been helpful to you! 🙏🏼 Thanks #fitfam 😁
