I’m finally back in the UK! 🇬🇧 Today was stressful to SAY THE LEAST! So having a drink with the father before ordering pizza, also got the new ‘Ben & Jerry’s’ vegan ice cream for later which I have been dying to try! 🍦
Last day of holiday eating before back on the grind tomorrow and I can’t wait to get back to eating my veggies and the GYM! How people can eat shit and drink on the regular baffles me 😂

If you are serious about your training or really want to make a change, you need to see your training as an investment, as opposed to an expense. A lot of the time, people stick to the lower cost options and give up when they realise they’re not seeing any difference.
Small group training has been a game changer for me. You get the 1-1 attention of a PT but are surrounded by like-minded people who can support but also push and challenge you in every session.
I cannot stress how important it is to find a training environment that suits you. It should be something you enjoy and not something that you see as a chore. It won’t be sustainable if you dread it. .
Anyone who is serious about making a change, I cannot recommend these coaches enough. My training and mindset has been completely transformed over the last two years. I never thought I’d have such a love for training the way I do now.
Do you drink enough W A T E R everyday? I know I definitely don’t and it’s something I’m working on. To get better at this, I’m trying to make my water more fun by adding fruit, mint, cucumber, etc. I also have a few alarms on my phone to remind me to drink up! Let me know your tips on staying hydrated!
Every. Single. Day. I get up and I get in the gym.
There are plenty of days when I don’t want to.
I’m sleep deprived.
I can’t come up with excuses.
But I suck it up, and I go.
Because no one is going to do the work for me and I’m never where I want to be.
I’m constantly battling myself! But when my mind is made up, I’m getting there and nothing and no one can stop me.
I gather whatever strength I have and I make it work to my benefit.
And EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I’m glad I did.

📖: When asked to share my story & help others I’d say “no.. I’m just working on me. I can’t help no one until i help myself.” Although that is true... i started feeling as if that’s a bit too selfish after seeing everyone who’s in the same place as i was just coming from a different story. So i decided that i am here to help whoever is willing to fight back! Told y’all i was gone put it together for y’all, & i did! I’m not at my goal but now i figure why wait until i reach it to help someone when we can get there together? A while back I told my best friend Zhailyn, that one day when i get it together (but who ever fully has is together aka another excuse for me not to do it now) I’d like to help women who are genetically like me. For instance I’ll never be a size 2. I’d look sick as hell BUT, i can be a delicious size 10. Ya feel me? Lol Everyone’s different. Let’s learn & get to know what your body is capable of. Something i had to do & still am learning. I’d like to help others (women & men) get to the size that fits them & they’re comfortable in. We’re not here to chase unrealistic images. We’re here to be the best version of ourselves. I also would love to help moms who struggle with finding themselves again’ who are stuck behind the weight that they can’t seem to shake. I feel you baby. The moms that suffered postpartum depression and had to crawl back to sanity just to realize “i don’t like the way i look- so now let’s be depressed about that.” I feel you baby. But, guess what! I’m walking proof, YES. YOU. CAN. Fight back! Every day is a battle. Some days you’re going to have to work harder to hush the negativity that seems to be screaming at you & that’s alright. I didn’t say it was easy, I’m saying it can be done. Join me!

📖: This is one of the first pictures i put side by side to compare. Left picture was April in Vegas. I believe i followed my reflection in every window/mirror talking down on myself & comparing myself to other women around. I wasn’t a fun person in general anymore. Self hatred takes a toll on not just you, but everyone around you. Change your mind.. change your life. When i got home that Monday i decided that i had enough of my damn self. Lol yeah it’s definitely a thing. To be tired of YOURSELF. Right is today, only in competition with the woman >i< was yesterday. Been working on myself mentally, spiritually, & physically. Reading good reads, taking it out on the treadmill instead of my significant other, praying, loving on myself & my family as much as i can, staying consistently in touch with my Herbafam.. Definitely feeling a better version of me coming through. Progress not perfection. Every day is different. The journey never ends. Left pic size 14 jeans, XL shirts. Right pic size 10 back in my pre-baby jeans & my medium shirts! I remember i couldn’t get those bad boys to go up one thigh let alone fit! Very proud of me! Wishing i didn’t throw away/give away almost all of my old clothes because i was depressed that i couldn’t fit them so my solution was ‘get rid of everything’ Now I’m dealing with another dilemma’ all my clothes in my closet can’t fit me again.. only this time they’re too big. 💃🏻 all in all.. YES YOU CAN!
Ps. I reactivated my account to use it as my happy place. Instagram wouldn’t let me make a new account so i took it as a sign that maybe somebody needs to hear me. Yes i believe in signs. This will become A place where i can document my progress all around. Success isn’t linear. It’s easy to stay motivated & keep working hard & “crushing it” when you’re moving up & can see/feel that progress happening. But sometimes there will be setbacks, times where we feel lost, & periods where we aren’t “our best” or what we “used to be”. There is no way to always be at our peak, or be “crushing it” in every area of our life all at the same time. To be honest, the past few weeks have been a bit of an internal struggle. Iv lost my normal intense drive, enthusiasm, energy, & purpose. I haven’t felt like “super woman” or like I’m “crushing it”. Iv been really focusing on a positive mindset, getting back on track, talking to & being with amazing people that I love (my friends are the best! I love you guys so much!!!), & looking toward my exciting future, & it is helping! I keep feeling like I’v snapped out of this stupid little down phase, but it comes in waves... I’m not saying im depressed or in this total horrible state by any means! And overall, when it comes down to it, I am ok, & everything will be ok. Remember, just because you’re going through something that might not be be particularly awesome or happy at the moment, doesn’t mean that at the core you’re not ok! 😊
I am NOT writing this to get sympathy or attention! So PLEASE NO pity party or “oh you’re so amazing” comments of any sort. And I’m NOT writing this to get advice. I was actually very hesitant about writing about this for that & many other reasons. I’m writing this for others, and for those who may be going through similar things, to show that you are not alone. We all go through down times, and it’s ok! Sometimes we see people here on IG that always seem to be “crushing it” & have everything perfect. For the most part that is fun&motivating, but it can also get un-relatable or make us feel inadequate or down about ourselves. I’m writing this to show that, although, yes, my page is genuine & most of the time I am super driven & passionate & happy, that it is still just that- a page, a platform that, although might give the illusion that it does, can’t possibly show all sides of me, and all of the times. I AM human, & have struggles & setbacks too. ❤️

"1. I did not follow any of the "magic diets" that seem like the quick solution to everything! There is NO such thing as a quick fix - results take consistency and time. 2. However, it did not take me 5 years to lose weight but I have been on this journey for a while 😜 Over that period of time I have gained and lost weight due to health issues, a full term pregnancy and multiple miscarriages. 3. About 1.5 years after having my little girl I decided I wanted to get fit for good (the third pic - when I was 30 years old). . 4. I started doing the @kayla_itsines BBG in September 2015 and completed over 77 weeks of the program. 5. In August 2016 I joined a gym and added some heavier weight training to my program. 6. In February 2017 I found a coach @jorwndavid and started following a powerlifting style program exclusively for my training. Since then I have trained on average 4-5 times a week. I do 4 lifting sessions and max 1 cardio session a week. 7. Recently I have been eating intuitively, but the results in the final photo were achieved by (loosely) tracking macros (IIFYM) from March 2016 onwards. Hope that clears a few things up! 😘😘"
