I believe I’ve captured my most favorite photo today. I am stunned that my iPhone X was able to photograph something so spectacularly well. There is so much to this photo that I could go on describing all night long. I can see emotion in the most beautiful creature, tropical clouds on a hazy horizon, lines in complex patterns, a shadow that completes the image and of course, vibrant colors which are my signature. I chose this composition carefully, seeing this transition from a faraway forest, skipping across a flooded plain to connect the nearby shrubs into the lavish green that’s complementing my subject. The brown bark of the platform gifts us with the act of contrast. This is what photography is about, being able to use a perfectly engineered tool of man in order to show another perfectly engineered tool of nature in a most precise universe. Everything is connected, which is why we must preserve as much of nature as we can, in all of its glory! I am now on my way to photograph what may very well be an astonishing sunset as Subtropical Storm Alberto moves away from our area.
I don’t see many banded birds other than Florida scrub-jays but this royal tern was rocking some jewelry, can’t really see the number from any of my photos but I always wonder about these birds’ stories 🤔 #royaltern
Today starts the busy season on the beach. Swim near a lifeguard, ask them if there are any rip currents BEFORE getting in the water and remember conditions can change quickly along with the tide. #SJCMR, stay safe and thank you for guarding our beaches. Good luck to my babies, one in her 6th year and one a rookie. I’m very proud of you both ❤️🌊❤️
Well, how about this sunset today? Whenever I photograph two palm trees together, it symbolizes a couple enjoying the sunset while holding hands.
