My favorite place in Japan. The service, food, and company were amazing as always. We stayed in a different room this time and although the view of mount Fuji was fantastic and it was a bigger room, I felt that it was too big for just the two of us. またここに泊まりたい ☺️
With the first real post summer cold front modelling for just after Obon (Next week) thoughts turn to winter and then to equipment. This shot via @myhousepictures of T-Tune working an edge had us in the storage locker finding "Old faithful ".
Jingoji Temple in Kyoto's mountainous Takao region was founded in 824 and sits at the top of a hill above the Kiyotakigawa. The grounds are beautifully kept and contain a number of impressive halls and historic buildings. Most people visit in the fall when the autumn foliage is spectacular, but a visit in summer is also recommended - as an escape from the oppressive heat of the city center.
Takao is accessible by car or public bus. From Kyoto Station it takes about one hour by JR bus. This bus is covered by the Japan Rail Pass and some other JR train passes. Kyoto City Bus #8 also heads there from Shijo Karasuma and takes about 50 minutes. Note: The Kyoto One-day Bus Pass does not fully cover the fare. @excursions_japan#japan#kyoto#temple
Day 8 🇯🇵: Osaka umamiiii! Tried my first takoyaki 🐙 ball with 🧀 and 🥓 . Also Pablo cheesecakes please come take over Portland. Next time I’ll snag that sailor moon sock set too! Also got to see from the outside “host” bars where women and men can go pay for strictly company of someone who will at least pretend to be interested in your day/life. V interesting aspect of 🇯🇵, commoditizing human connection where it may be hard to build upon in a busy 70-80 hour work schedule!
