Tuesday Performance Tip - Every session you do, every action you take should be done with a single focus in mind. We live in a time of distraction. Distraction becomes an excuse to procrastinate and keeps you from making progress.
How do you maintain focus and ultimately improve?
Have a single focus. For example, focus only on head position during your swim, powerful pedal stroke while you bike, posture while you run, eating more slowly if you want to lose weight. One focus during each session, until you feel you have mastered it. Then reflect on your action. What felt good? What could be done better?
This disciplined action will help you progress and improve more than anything else. #maketodaymatter#endurancejourney#triathlontraining#triathlon#triathloncoach#running#run-coach #healthylifestyle#fitness#yqrmultisport#runqcm#gmslivingwell

What does it really take to improve your performance? You may have heard the idea that it's all about consistency and doing the work.
I'm going to take it a step further.
Learning to be a high performing person is about executing the habits it takes everyday to improve.
What are the habits that will lead to you improving faster than anything else?
1. Be prepared - get your tools, gear, mind ready, and make the time in your calendar before you even start the habit. This starts the night before. This will decrease the chances of you bailing on following through. Set yourself up for success.
2. Show up - mindset matters here. Go into your session with the intent of giving your best to the session. Tell yourself its going to be a great session because its a privilege to do this and you owe it to yourself for taking the time to show up.
3. Focused Discipline - this is where most miss the biggest opportunity. Instead of just focusing on completing the the rep, set, session, etc. seize the opportunity to have a singular focus in the moment you are in. Pick a particular skill/mindset you are trying to develop and have laser focus on that one thing.
Be prepared, show up, and have intent to your practice.
This is how to develop the habits that will make your consistency lead to the performance you desire. #maketodaymatter#triathlon#running#health#performance#yqrmultisport#runqcm#gmslivingwell#endurancejourney
