After almost 22 months of pregnancy and breastfeeding, I feel a little bit lost. My body is different, I’m no longer growing or feeding a baby, my hormones are all over the place (we just finished weaning last week), and my hair is a WRECK. I’m embracing this new chapter and focusing on taking care of my body now that it’s 100% mine again. ✨
Damn. It’s been a real Monday of a Wednesday, today. OH WELL. At least I got a run in. I’ve been focusing a LOT on foam rolling and warming up before hand, but I’ll be the first to admit that I basically never do a cool down because I’m always already running late for things. So I know all my injuries are my fault, but I’m feeling pretty good this week! I’ve got awful blisters on the arches (which are nonexistent) of my feet from running with the arch supports after my feet softened up and got all weak on me 😝 but other than that, all is well! Shooting for a 20+ mile week this week. FINALLY.

I’ve been seeing her from afar, but yesterday was a trip to the summit.
Took a stab at 1 mile down and up and down the Barr Trail. We completed the 16 golden stairs. Thankfully pace was good at our leisure effort. I wanted to experience the summit with no pressure and enjoy the scenery.
THEN I got back to ground and read Mother Nature may throw snow at the summit on race day. I was prepared for cold, but this can change things. I can run in snow. Heck all of training for Flying Pig was almost snow. At a mountain though this isn’t something to take lightly. Fingers crossed it’s just a dusting and nothing to cause other runners harm or possibly have the race cut. After some moments of freaking out about this I realized, I’ve done everything I can do.
