happy to get out and run a little in the rain today! i love how the rain just makes everything more quiet and peaceful, it made my 7 today almost fly by. my shin was bothering me a lot on today’s run so lots of icing is definitely on my schedule for tonight! fingers crossed everything goes well at my actual car appointment tomorrow! 🤞🏼
Went into this past weekend @noramchamps with hopes of nothing less than a podium finish. I fell short of my goal by 3 placements. Finishing in 6th place I’m happy with my performance and leaving it ALL out there but disappointed I fell short of my goal. What I love most about competing in these championship races is how humbling they are. I came in, in what I thought was my strongest self and I left realizing (or being reminded) where all my weaknesses are.
Regardless...I’m grateful for every healthy day given to me and the opportunity to compete with the best of the best in a sport full of some of the greatest athletes. Taking a huge step back and reevaluating my needs as an athlete (training, mobility, nutrition) over the next couple of weeks before Fenway @spartanrace and @f.i.t.challenge in November. I’ll be back on a podium before the season ends.
You guys....I DID IT!! I had been slowly but surely training for a 5k (I know, I know, it’s basically nothing) but it was a HUGE deal for me!! I never in my life thought I’d be able to run more than a mile — I give all you runners major credit 👌🏼— then I went on a whim and signed up for my companies health challenge race and forced myself to hop on the cardio train daily. I am proud to say I finished in 34 minutes. Not the best but definitely awesome for my first time ever doing something like that. I think I found something for me to finally push myself and make me get my cardio in!! Can’t wait to sign up for another race! 😊

Tuesday🔥 1 week into my own 12 weeks transformation 🙊 ______________________Today I added in some jump squats to see how I felt ( mainly to make sure my c-section incision area felt ok ) and it did! ________________ I would love to do a 10k in November so we’ll see. I’ve never been a runner but I’m willing to give it a shot 💪🏾__________________________ I got nothing to loose but weight 😉 @teamlong_tl@teamlong_transformation@sarahteamlong@_mighty_jay
So what can I say, it took me 2 hours to complete 1 hour of #lifting#abworkout and just plain being awesome! 🤷♀️
Suggestions on workouts to follow on Youtube? I don’t think “Trolls” is the best thing to workout to! 😆 I can either use Tuesday and Thursday as a lay in my ass and do nothing but mope about or i can get off my behind and put in that work. I’ll take putting in the work.

Early foggy morning for a run on heavy heavy legs before work. I considered skipping my intervals but stuck with it and managed 4 x 90 sec of “fast” which wasn’t really that fast but it was hard and intense so I am going of call that a win #justkeeptrying
