“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.” Albert Camus.
Finding remnants of society that we have forgotten about and moved past was an interesting experience. Not all who wander are lost and it’s finding things like this that make me happy I keep choosing to embrace my wild heathen heart of mine #professorabroad#brofessor#adventuretime#hikingadventures#wheremyfeettakeme
Adventure isn’t merely in the mountains, water and sky. It’s in the every day. It’s in meeting new people, pursuing your passions, the hopes for tomorrow, etc. Life is full of grand adventures that we plan, but learn to find it in the day to day and life will be much sweeter.
Day 3 in the Winds.
Wake up before sunrise feeling sick, we loose the cairns in the dark, and my knee is killing me from some major scrambling the day before with a backpack full of cameras, lenses, a tripod, and a gimbal. We find our way back to trail at sunrise and make our way through a valley surrounded by mountains on both sides. 10 miles to go, the views are epic.
