Yesterday while scrolling thru my feed I kept seeing this wild ass pose and thought what the hell I HAVE to try this!!!!🤣😂I’ve never even thought to drop my hips and move the legs backward but I love this variation so much. It depends so much on your strength in your back and shoulders, alignment, and of course flexibility. But mentally it is so much more(atleast for me). Getting upside-down is a feat and This takes it to the next level. This is my first #hollowbackheadstand and I was terrified. You have to put your trust in yourself to catch if you fall, and also control each movement carefully while still keeping your shoulders bearing equal amounts of weight(or else you will topple over!). I practiced this next to my wall in case I fell backwards(sense of security), and after about 5 tries I feel more comfortable moving into it from #headstand. •

What is Non-Attachment?
The Buddhist teaching on non-attachment is ultimately about realizing the truth of yourself. That is, realizing that you're an expression of the entire cosmos. That you're in the cosmos, that the entire cosmos is in you in a very real and observable way, and that there is no separating the two (and everything that comes with the realization).
And the teaching on non-attachment is about living in such a way that you live without such obstructions that keep you from realizing this.
It's understood in Zen that non-attachment isn't about physical items, locations, and such, it's about the ideas we occupy our minds with.
It's about what we believe about ourselves and the world around us.
This means that you could lead a perfectly normal life on the surface, but from within live in a way that you don't attach yourself to any of the things that are a part of your life.
So to live with the state of mind of non-attachment, to realize the importance of living in a way that you go with the natural flow of things and respect the impermanence of all life, is the basis of realizing non-attachment. ✨

I’ve come to realize that for the past 8 months I’ve been through a lot. There were some low lows but still I have tried to find little bit and pieces of happiness here and there. The length of my recovery may take longer than I expected, but I am so happy to share with you with my attempt to do hollowback. I love yoga and I love teaching yoga so much that I decide that I will be healed, I will be recovered fully everyday and in every possible ways. So, instead of telling y’all all about how much this scares me probably more than hollow in handstand, let’s talk about the things that happened throughout this challenge... 🎉
Meredith, Amy, and Natasha, thank you so much for your time and efforts with this endeavor! Each day I gained a little something more, something I hadn’t realized or felt in my hollow practice before. Gaze shifting was something I’d never tried until this challenge! Hollow in handstand, shoot, to get those millisecond holds were golden to me!! Opening my hollows further and feeling even more in pincha was truly incredible...changing leg shapes was so new and an awesome feeling!
Thanks to everyone for putting their best hollows forward and for all the love we shared back and forth with encouragement! My love tank feels a little fuller and my practice a little richer! Love and Merry Christmas to all of you 💕🎄🎁💕
