Second day of pre-primary, homeschool-style 🤪 I’ve made a display file for some of Ares’ work (part proof of learning, part awesome keepsake), and was trying to get a picture of Ares for the cover page. I told him a joke to get a smile out of him, and it goes a little something like this.. A bear and a rabbit are both pooping in the woods. The bear turns to the rabbit and asks, “Do you have a problem with poop sticking to your fur?” The rabbit says, “No”. So the bear wipes his butt with the rabbit 🙊😂 #swipeforhisreaction
How many ounces of water did you drink today? I drank 101 ounces! 💦 Tomorrow I will shoot for 128 ounces (1 gallon!) I definitely got super hydrated today and I noticed I ate less throughout the day. Especially since I mixed in some Hunger Control Slim into some of my water! 💪🏼The blood orange flavor made it easy to get in those last few cups to reach my goal for today. Did anyone else hydrate well today?
This woman's obedience listening to the Father's voice radically changed my life. There are days I wonder what my life would be like if I wouldn't have attended For the Love back in 2011!
I love you, @ginnycorbett! You are a gift in my life and I thank Jesus for you! I'm so excited for your future and for your precious girls!! You are going to be an amazing momma!!! 💗Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to hang out today!! It was a perfect ending to a perfect trip! 💗💗💗

I 💚💚💚 shopping for new homeschool supplies! These are a few of the new resources I picked up over the weekend to restock our PreK activity shelves. I like to have a few activities out for Wynter to self-select and work on while I am working with her big brother. I try to balance things that are easy with those that are more challenging. I also like to make sure there is a variety of literacy, numeracy and fine motor activities available to her.
To see what else we picked up, follow the link in my bio to check out our budget haul on YouTube 😉

Took the flippity flappity dog down to the ocean for a swim this evening. The water was so cold my feet ached so I didn't make it in too but the temperature was several degrees cooler at the beach compared to in town. After watching 3 rambunctious boys in a pool all afternoon it was nice to take a breath and clear my head.

Day 24 of the #megamotherhood challenge was REST. I really wanted to complete the challenge but posting daily was too much. So…🐌🐢
When I read REST, I thought sleep💤, but recently, I’ve been pondering REST of the soul. We’ve been gearing up for something big and hard for our family. Rest, not sleep, is an appropriate word for me, right now.
I think rest starts with trust. Proverbs 3:5-6(NIV) says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart❤ and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” As women and moms, we are used to overseeing, being responsible for SO much. It’s easy to forget that we are not ultimately responsible for EVERYTHING. God is. Do any of you remember the old song, “He’s got the whole world🌎 in His hands…?” We manage our families👫🕴💃🏊♂️🚶♂️🚶♂️🏃♂️😍, our schedules📋, the meals🥪, laundry👕👖, and… it’s a lot❗ It’s easy to be overwhelmed😲. To feel like the whole world🌎 rests on our shoulders, and while it may feel that way, that’s just not true.
Isaiah 26:3(ERV) says, “God, you give true peace to people who depend on you, to those who trust in you.”
Last Friday, I was so tired😴. Overwhelmed. I called Mr. Shoe at work and told him I wanted to 😢. Tennies (age 6) and Baby Loves (age 3) went with me to Water Shoes’ swimming lesson later that afternoon. It’s was another scorcher🌡! While there, I listened to a voicemail from Oxford telling me not to worry about dinner, that a pastor at our church had given him four boxes of pizza🍕🍕🍕🍕 to bring home🏡. I don’t know if four pizzas is a big deal to you, but it was to me. In a season that is hard for me, I was strongly reminded that God is helping me.
When I acknowledge that HE is responsible for the whole world🌎 and not me, I can find rest. Rest for my soul. Even without a lot of sleep, even in a situation that isn’t peaceful or restful and is out of my control, I can find rest for my soul.🌷
Meet two of the most persistent/relentless people I know. Maggie and Maddux both have these character qualities. Sometimes it drives me crazy. Sometimes it produces amazing things in their lives. Like memorizing the Greek alphabet because “I want to learn Greek too, Mom.” (Maggie) Or like teaching himself how to hit a pitched baseball at 2.5 by practicing endlessly until he figured it out so he could hit BIG by the time he was 4. (Maddux) Or by riding 22 miles on their bikes one Saturday and asking to do more when they were done. (No, I’m not exaggerating. It was literally 22 miles.) They are amazing and the potential packed into these little people humbled me. May we be good stewards of the time with them and the responsibility we have to them. 💗
Being a parent is like a scary, horrifying fun, amazing adventure ride.....some days I feel like puking, others I’m excited for the next spin... but I’m super glad I get to ride!! #MomOfFive#GingerMamma#HomeschoolMom

Homeschool isn’t just a few hours a day. It’s all day, every day. It’s in the house, on the couch, in the store, swimming in the water, watching YouTube, fishing, talking, cooking, living...it’s everything we do. In our family, our greatest times happen with each other, wrapped in conversation and appreciating what we have ♥️ Happy Monday all! Hope your week is amazing ☺️

When you begin homeschooling the lower elementary years should be both fun and easy for mom and child. You don't need a bulky all in one planner to plan a years worth of school, that can add stress to your life, take life one day at a time and plan one week at a time. I created a simple one page printable for lower elementary students. I hope it helps ease the transition and brings peace to your homeschool.
It includes a morning time section, notes, and room for your core subjects such as math, reading and handwriting. Its one page for a full week of school. Sign up for email for your free printable, link in bio, @fourhearthomeschool. Weekly page coming soon along with how I use my planner pages.

Hmm... I'm really loving this homeschool science curriculum we chose. Right now we are doing food science. Her assignment today was to "familiarize yourself with the refrigerator, clean, and organize it". Needless to say, she wasn't happy but she did a darn good job!! (note the reward lol).. I wonder if they have a class on washing machines.... 😝😂 #homeschool#homeschoolmom#ronpaulcurriculum#welovehomeschool#mygirl💕 #proudmom

The World Cup may be over but there’s always more time for books about soccer! We featured this book in our bundle last month and loved how it illustrations reflected Caribbean culture. Readers will even learn Creole phrases. This is a great book to showcase the beauty of soccer. ⚽️

Do you want to learn how to maximize your energy source,🔥👊🏻🦄 get free ketones, and learn how to make money💰 doing it?
This business has been such a blessing to our family, and the simplicity of it makes it possible for this busy homeschool mom of three. I saw the power in creating residual income in my early 20’s but it wasn’t until this past Nov that I found the right vehicle and mentors to learn how to actually make money doing it.
I’ve got 3 more spots left for the month of July if your ready to getting started building your own home based business. I’m looking for motivated, goal oriented, positive peeps to work along side creating the future of your dreams. Comment below👇🏻 or private message me for more details.
My kids have been wearing themselves o u t this summer! Our bedtime has moved to 10-11pm😳 But the evenings are so perfect that I just don’t want to call them in when they’re having so much fun.

That moment when you come home from a relaxing oil-infused Raindrop treatment, and you see this on your bathroom counter.
Relaxation levels decrease as I investigate who cut who with the what?
Grateful for three bottles of Helichrysum strewn around our house. One never knows when they will need the power of this oil to help deal with life's little slips ups.

Thank you so much to everyone that remembered Isaac today! Happy 7th birthday, sweet boy!!!
It was our first day of school today! The first year of homeschooling where I am not going to school! My oldest is in first grade and my youngest is in preschool. It was such an awesome first day of school! I made them my husband’s French toast, completely different than American French toast for breakfast. Got them dressed all cute and did their hair did pictures and then before we started we prayed together. Doing that really set the tone for them, myself, and the morning. After we were done with our schoolwork, we explored outside with the magnifying glasses where we saw a lot of yellow jackets, bees, ants, a huge orange wasp 😳😳,and a few flowers. Yeah after seeing all those we ran inside and read books. I think I have to find some other areas to do some exploring. After school and naps were done I had time in my Bible. I am so looking forward to this year!
We have teamed up with some of our favorite shops to give away $75 in shop credits!

Competition paired with learning works very well as motivation in our household. competitiveness eliminates guessing. Effort in learning is increased for the sake of getting the answer correct . If there’s a prize at the end of a lesson, he’s all in. Even if the prize is a car he already owns. That being said, I’m sure the “Winner” title is what he’s actually after vs. the car he already owns... which reminds me, I have to teach him not to be a sore loser😒. #homeschool#homeschooling#homeschoolmom mom #homeschoollife

I thought the sunset was apropos for this beautiful book about the Biltmore estate, the Vanderbilt family, and the rise and fall of the Guilded Age.
Author Denise Kiernan @iamdenisekiernan wove the story of the Vanderbilts through the history of America: the opulence of the Guilded Age, the tragedies of two world wars, and how the Biltmore managed to survive when so many other massive estates did not. This didn’t read like a textbook or a gossip column, but provided huge amount of historical context alongside the relationship struggles of the rich and famous.
I enjoyed this book significantly more than The Girls of the Atomic City by the same author. I recently read The Big Burn about the forest fires of 1910 and enjoyed the overlap of players and time period between the two books. Another great pick for my by the fabulous @pageonebooks!
The paralysis of choice
I want to live in the city, but also the country. I want to buy land and build a house, but would also happily renovate a school bus + travel the country instead. I want to live in the desert, but also the beach. I want to be a present stay at home homeschooling mom, but also monetize my time-consuming passions. Anyone else feel me on the "can't choose"-iness of adulting?
How do you "live by design" if you can't settle on a design?
