I love my 5am workouts. Do I always love getting up, well no. However, waking up and pushing play is how I have started my day for over 9 years now! Today I did a total body, high rep strength workout! Have a great weekend! .

Verhonda Smith (Wangkumara) - I’ve always played a lot of sport and had a pretty active lifestyle, but I can admit that I have never been the best with food. The pic on the left is 12 months ago when I ran my first 5kms without stopping, I remember being so proud, but knowing me I probably rewarded myself with chocolate or a unhealthy delicious meal because “I earned it”. I continued this pattern of exercise and food up until 2 months ago when I registered for the F45 8 week challenge. I knew the hardest thing for me would be the meal plan but was still willing to commit. I wanted to go in without putting too much pressure on myself but in the back of my mind I wanted to give it all I had. So that’s what I did! I took it one day at a time, one meal at a time. I stayed off the scales until my mid and end scan and I’m so glad I did because that feeling I got when I had my final weigh was incredible! (Yes, I cried haha)
I didn’t just lose 11.2kgs in 8 weeks, I gained strength, discipline and created a new routine for my life, most importantly I gained a happier and healthier life both physically and mentally. Eating the right foods can be just as tough as working out in the gym but I’m trying to not use food as a reward. I’m not perfect, and I do still enjoy brunches out and icecream for dessert - but it’s about planning those meals and balancing exercise and food. I’ve still got a lot of work to do, but I’m a hell of a lot closer than I was 12 months ago.

Busyness isn't essential. Yep there's a lot to do. Busy is the easy option. We are busy because we don't make tough choices. We allow the world and inbox to set our agenda, rather than think for ourselves. I know it's easier to simply react, to choose to try do anything, it takes more courage to do less.
Busy can be avoidance- Busy is a brand- Busy is an addiction - Busy is what everyone else is doing. Don't wip your phone for a quick fix of social media or text. How many unbusy people do you know? A lot of your busy behaviour isn't yours; it's the behaviour of the herd. In order to succeed in life you have to cut through the noise.
