Baba ganoush, with fresh eggplant and parsley from the garden.
I first heard of the river cottage on a @dasrobbwolf podcast where @johnwelbourn said his favorite strength and conditioning book was The River Cottage Meat Book by @urban_deriver. I checked it out from the library later that week, and received the book as a present for Christmas later that year. It was that book, along with the River Cottage Cookbook and River Cottage Veg forged the connection between real food eating, cooking, and sustainable farming.
I followed the recipe for baba ganoush from River Cottage Veg in terms of ingredients, but not so much in therms if amounts, and I roasted the eggplants over hot coals instead of in the oven for a smokiness that can't be beat.
After shopping around for a large planter to run along each side of our decking I decided to give it a go of making one myself rather than paying around £200 for one so large. It took me half the day but so happy with it and with a grand total of £20! 🙌🏼 #planter#decking#deckingplanter#garden#instagarden#instahomes
Questi colori mi fan pensare all'India, alle brillanti corone di fiori usate in tante cerimonie
These colours make me think of India, and the beautiful brilliant flowers wreaths they use in many celebrations

🌤 Living on the Central Coast: When you can harvest summer squash wearing down jacket. 🤷🏼♀️
A lot of you have been perplexed and commenting on Stories, when you see us hanging out in jackets. Yep! We wear them year-round in the evening here, and sit by the fire, since it's still down in the 50s and even high 40s at night. The daytime highs have been in the 60 and 70s, and being only a mile from the ocean, we get a lot of fog and wind. I haven't seen the sun in two days! 😂 Sure, the tomatoes and peppers don't love it, but on the flip side ~ we still have happy radishes, fava beans, and greens galore! 🌿 #californialiving#centralcoast
It’s easy to keep pansies growing and blooming for a very long time. Just remember to pinch off the dead flowers as they wilt to prevent them from forming seeds and to encourage further budding. / Om du vill att dina violer ska blomma länge, länge ska du nypa bort de blommor som är överblommade. Det gör att plantan växer och bildar nya knoppar istället för att bilda frön. På så sätt kan man ha vackra violer i månader.
