The best part about the 3 rest days in my new lifting program is it gives me more time to focus on my runs! .
Track day today for 100 yard sprints with a 2 mile warm up :) .
81ish days until the marathon, meaning 82 days until my first day at Mayo! What an empowering way to start my new season of life ❤ this summer is FLYING!
Deviated a bit from the plan this morning. Was scared to push my knee too soon so opted for a Low Impact spin class. Built up some heat and worked on technical skills! Hope you're having a great morning already! 🙌🙌

200m sprints x 2 miles. Not bad for the day after leg day.
Also, hidden political advertisement. 😉
✨ #braveWORDS: Appreciate your accomplishments. ✨
"I finished my run but it was horrible." "I worked out today but I didn't do that great of a job."
Are you guilty of saying these things about yourself? 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏻♀️ Us too. All the time. It's so easy to look at your performance from the day - be it work, family, working out, eating right, trying something new - and say "UGH. I did it but I wasn't good enough."
Today, we're here to say this to you: GIRL. RELAX. .
How often do we focus on how good or bad the thing we just did was and totally forget to stop and appreciate that we DID the thing we were supposed to do in the first place? .
Sometimes we do all we can just to peel our heads off our pillow in the morning and get out to run. Sometimes we don't have time to meal prep for the morning so we throw some semi-healthy snacks in our bag on the way to our 12 hour workday and make it work. WHATEVER. We're trying. YOU'RE trying. So stop being so hard on yourself. .
2 miles is better than none. A 20-minute workout is better than nothing at all. And answering half of your evergrowing inbox of emails is better than blowing it off completely. .
You're doing it and you're doing great. Take a second and appreciate yourself. #bravebodyproject#TeamBBP#bebrave

My alarm went off early this morning and I thought about sleeping a little bit longer until I saw a notification on my phone that said “excessive heat watch has been issued for your area.” 😅 This girl got out of bed and got that hour run done! Afterward, I tried to sit under Kylo’s fan to cool off and get a picture, but he wasn’t having it this morning😬😬. We are suppose to reach temps around 105 today so this guy will be coming inside to sit in the AC with the rest of us. Don’t forget about your furry friends today as these temps begin to climb! Now to rehydrate, refuel, and enjoy some more quiet time while my kiddos are still snoozing! #ColtStrong#marathontraining

Today’s run was not easy!😫 I went out way too fast and slowly died from there!🤣🤣 But it’s done!👊
And thank goodness I have these two boys to cheer me on when the run is kicking my butt!😍 #runningmom#summerrunning#fueledbyadvocare
After Sunday’s success and achieving that goal which I have spent the last 12 months working for. It is back to basics now. Day 1 of my @chimarathon & @nycmarathon training. The hard work starts now. Sunday is in the past and it is time to refocus on a new goal.
⭐️ Running a sub 3:20 marathon.
Today was all about recovery, a 30 minute easy paced run. Monday night I was taken out by food poisoning, The irony of everything I went through and overcame on Sunday to be taken down by some chicken a day later 😫 still not 100% today but getting there.
I am going to head over to @run_north_west this weekend to look for some new running shoes to see me through training and both Chicago and New York. After 12 months of running in Adidas Ultraboost’s I may try something different this season. Feel free to throw any suggestions my way.

16km/10miles total mileage @ 4:18/6:55
Finally got to try out my new shoes which I got a week ago. Adidas Australia was clearing out the #adizerosub2 as obviously not enough fast marathon runners down under? (big thanks to @haylz_newman for the heads up on this. They were a bargain at half price as rather expensive at full retail price).
Still not feeling the greatest today but had to push the effort to do justice to these shoes. They are legit a fast running shoe. Ultra light, responsive and flat. They feel best when you are turning over your feet. They feel average and quite hard actually when running slow. Definitely made me run a little bit faster today so big thumbs up from me, I like a...very much!
Afternoon 5k ☀️😎
That was hot 🔥 It was about 30 degrees this afternoon and I was absolutely roasting! 😅 I didn’t manage to get up this morning, and in fairness I probably benefitted from a few extra hours. I found this road that went along the bottom of a vineyard for a couple of miles and the views were decent, green everywhere! 🍷🙌🏻 My legs are feeling good! Back to work for this afternoon now 👊🏻 #italy
Whew! That was close! My Garmin hit low battery before I was even a half mile in. But I managed to finish all 5 miles without it dying, which is the longest I’ve ever done with this annoying box blocking the screen. It makes me wonder how far others are able to go on a run with low battery? 😱👟🤷♀️⌛️

Faltam dois meses. A estrada é longa, mas eu já estou lançado para chegar ao fim a sorrir. 😉 @berlinmarathon 🎥 @miguelph

The morning started at 6:00 am, with a temperature of 83° 🌡️. Decisions, decisions. 🤔 I opted for a bike 🚴 ride over an early morning run 🏃 to start my day ⛅. Today is the first day in a couple of years that I will not be scheduling a local social run. I have hung up my social run leader hat and have officially retired and am walking away from that chapter in my running life, although I'm sure at some point that I will miss it. I am looking forward to focusing more on my own training, physical health, mental health, and well being. Sometimes, we forget to be proud of our own accomplishments due to seeing the successes of others. Some people ignore you, some people discredit you to others, some people are fake, and some people are just too blind to see that their determination does not trump someone else's knowledge, training, education, and experience. I am not one to only show my success...I also show the many failures with the tag line to "embrace the suck". Sure, pretend that this sport isn't hard...but we all know better. Stop living in a fantasy world and come down to reality. Be careful who you talk to when speaking ill of someone...because it may just come back to that person in all of its true glory. Others may think that you walk on water...but no...you sink...dead weight always sinks right to the bottom. This is me watching you sink to the bottom now. Bye Felicia. 👋
Um. Well. Hey guys. It’s me.
I’m pretty blown away by everything. If you watch my stories, you haven’t seen a lot of me lately. Don’t worry. I’m still here. This all kind of blew up at once, in the best way possible. I’m really grateful to be included in this no filter movement. It’s certainly not the first time it’s occurred, but more and more I’m noticing blurred, shiny faces and it’s frustrating. We’re athletes. Show that tomato face with pride. Wear those bags under your eyes (I do — my boss actually asked me if I had a black eye last week 😂 haha and I know he’ll see this. 😜) We’re human beings too. We’re gonna have wrinkles. Blemishes. Fat rolls. I struggle on the daily. But damn I am so EXHAUSTED trying to look and be perfect, aren’t you?
Anywho. I ran today: 3 miles up, 10x2 min on, 1 min off averaging 6:35 pace! 2 miles down to total 9.29 miles at 7:30 pace.
Cheers fam 🔥♥️
Hard days are the best because THAT’S when champions train👊🏻Struggle was real today. Summer running really blows sometimes. 88 degrees (real feel 99)☀️Going on 4 hours of sleep, a little cranky, not feeling 100% health wise, day after going hard on legs, heat, humidity, blazing sun, dehydration, soaking wet (and alllll the excuses I can think of) and yet you just keep going. One foot in front of the other - get it done. Don’t stop. It’s a good thing I had easy miles on the schedule today because it’s truly all I had to give. 4 this morning before the girls woke up at a 9:26 pace and then 5 more mid-morning with my man at an 8:42 pace. That phrase turtle stampeding thru peanut butter? Yeah - that was me today but still put those miles in the bank! Chicago, I’m coming for you!
Speed work day!😵This work out was a bit shorter but still intense!🏃🏻♀️It was 1.5 miles up, 10x400 at 5k pace with 200 at MP between for a nice little fake recovery🙈then c/d. Another day stronger!

H A P P Y A N N I . ♥️
When you run a super muggy, buggy, and hilly 5 miler with 495 ft of elevation gain, but have a lake to jump into right after👍🏼⛰👍🏼 Also, I’ll be running with a bear horn for the rest of the week because I’m in the Adirondacks and there’s been a big black bear roaming around our one mile long road - oh goodie🤣👍🏼😳🐻
