“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive.” @brenebrown
Many of us learn from a young age that our stories are too much – that we’re too sensitive, or too dramatic, or too emotional, or too *human*. We learn that our stories should be hidden and buried and kept to ourselves – that they aren’t safe to be held by anyone else. We share the positive parts, the highlights, the beautiful vacation photos and transformations and epic weekends and accomplishments and joy… but the pain, hardship, fear, grief, shame, guilt, sadness, worry, anger, loneliness, anxiety, self-doubt, and all other tough parts of being human get shoved down and swallowed, leading us to carry our tougher parts all by ourselves and wonder how everyone else has it all figured out. “What’s wrong with me?”
Shame thrives off of secrecy. It grows and flourishes when we keep it hidden in the dark. It easily sneaks its way into our day-to-day lives when we ignore it. When we feel ashamed of our shame, it amplifies and gets heavier.
The hard and beautiful truth is this: when we share the parts of ourselves we label as “bad” or “wrong” with people who are willing to listen and respond empathically, shame gets smaller. Our feelings of being “bad” get weaker. When we tell our truth to another human, connection is what grows. We let our shame out of isolation and give it some air, which makes it less powerful and allows us to recognize we aren’t actually alone in all the tough parts of being human – that others are there too, hiding and burying it right beside us.
I want to remind you that your story is worth sharing. Your truth is worth being told. Your tougher experiences and feelings matter, and while it may feel easier to hide them, and it may feel scary to share them, the relief that can come from it is astonishing. Be it with a trusted family member, a friend, a therapist, a mentor, a teacher, or anyone in your life that you feel connected to, your harder parts are not yours to carry alone, and they don’t make you any less than. Happy Wednesday, friends. 🌱
Thought about my God sister on Sunday. I didn’t forget her birthday yesterday but wanted to reflect a little bit more on her character. She was a thermostat whose setting stayed on unconditional love. Period. True love doesn’t always feel good but is a daily decision to first receive the love of God so that you can give it freely to others... “But love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; for your reward will be great (rich, abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High; because He Himself is kind and gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked. Be merciful (responsive, compassionate, tender) just as your [heavenly] Father is merciful.”

#teamfourmis#bienveillance#4accordstolteques#developpementpersonnel#bonheur#meditation#zenattitude#lyonnaise
•the past has no power over the present moment• ~Eckhart Tolle .
I’ve come to realize how important being in the moment is. It is key. imperative. It is everything!!! It is the only time your body can actually heal, and the only time you can receive guidance from the higher realms. Yet another reason why GROUNDING is so important.. *the Earth is always in present time* She keeps us here. She gives us so much support💚🌏💙 So do yourself a favour & take a moment to chill. Put your attention to the b r e a t h ✨🌬

This is your body. 🦋
This is your body...
Feet that have walked thousands of miles and connect you to the earth, legs that have supported you when you thought you couldn’t stand, a belly that’s digested all the food you have eaten, hips that have processed all of your emotions, arms that have embraced love from others, lungs that have taken deep breaths by the ocean, hands that have wiped your tears, lips that have spoken the words I love you, eyes that have seen a thousand smiles, a mind that has comforted you and told you everything will be ok.
This is your body, not what you perceive as the faults, not what you pick at and say “you’re not good enough”, and not what society says you need to change to conform.
This is your body, feed it love, feed it food that nourishes it’s cells, feed it the thoughts, words and actions you would feed to the person you love the most.
Be kind to your body, it’s kind to you.
This is your body, it houses pure consciousness that connects every being and cell on our earth, full of energetic wonder, full of brilliant life force, full of immeasurable potential.
This is your body. 🦋
Yoga tomorrow come move your body.
I’ve never intentionally meditated before. I guess I got glimpses of it in some yoga classes I’ve taken but I’ve never sat in meditation and have been curious🧘🏻♀️ It’s through yoga and because of my desire to grow as a human that has lead me to start a meditation practice to see how my being and life improves from it. I am consumed with many thoughts throughout my daily life, some beautiful and some not so beautiful and it’s through the last couple of weeks of practicing that I’ve come to my first big breakthrough! Maybe I’ll talk about it in the future but for now, I wanted to share with you two super helpful meditation apps you can download. I started with the app, Headspace and now have ventured onto the app, Insight Timer. If you’ve never meditated before, aka sat in quiet and calm for a few moments, then these apps will help guide you in the most simple way💞
i follow many food bloggers, registered dieticians, and other people in the food world on instagram. when i heard that @rachlmansfield was hosting an event in CHICAGO i had to be there. i finally got off the waitlist and signed up to go! I had no one to join me, but I knew this was something I really wanted to do so I went alone. 🤷🏼♀️
It ended up being an amazing night of self care filled with yoga, banana bread, face scrub, snacks, vitamins, goodie bags, and q&a. sometimes you just have to go outside of your comfort zone and do things for YOU! 🙌🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
enjoy these pics from the event!!
There is an ancient story of Jesus healing a blind man. (You can read it in John 9) As he began to make his new way, people started to question his healing. When they could no longer deny it, they began to question the healer.
He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know is I was blind and now I can see!” Your healing encounter with Jesus will make others nervous. You can not let that stop you from getting up off your mat and walking in freedom.
Tell your story.
Invite them in.
Walk away when necessary.
No matter what, walk in your healing.
There's magic everywhere.
I promise you, there's magic everywhere, but She speaks in whispers (*sometimes screams too) and synchronicities and unassuming places, so please stay open, loves.
Magic is all around us.

Our bodies are a gift and miracle... No one 'expert' really knows definitively why or how the body heals and regenerates itself... But we do know that with the right attention, nurturing and environment - both internally and externally - your body, mind and relationships can heal and will thrive.
Every red blood cell has a life span of about 120 days (4x months). So 120 days from now, there won't be a single red blood cell in your body that is there today. Not one. 120 Days from now you will have had a complete exchange of blood, an oil change, a blood transfusion, and every single drop of blood in your body will be new blood.
How quickly do cells replace themselves?
Although some scientists argue over how much time it actually takes for each part of your body to regenerate, all of them are reducing this time as new discoveries are made. Generally, this is how fast some of the parts of your body totally regenerate (thanks to www.bionumbers.org for this info); Small Intestine (surface villi) 2 to 3 days, Stomach Lining 5 Days, Colon Lining 7 Days, Skin 14 to 30 Days, Liver 45 Days to 1 year, Bladder 50 Days, Most Brain Cells 60 to 90 Days, Blood 120 Days, Skeleton 90 Days to 5 years, Lungs: surface cells 2 to 3 weeks (alveoli cells up to 1 year), Complete Skeleton 7 years, Heart up until recently it was thought it did not regenerate, but now it is known that it completely regenerates at least 3 or 4 times during your lifetime.
Cellular regeneration is inevitable and important to think about if you're tired of feeling sick and tired! If this is your pattern, perhaps it's time to make-over of your internal (and external) terrain? When we become aware of the patterns and habits that keep our bodies and minds, toxic... Be it the foods and drinks that are consumed, or thoughts and company that is frequented... We then make space for a shift, to living with a more positive, sustainable and inspired momentum. #Consciousvibrancy
