“No snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible.”
- Stanislaw Jerzy Lec
Been feeling a little reflective lately. And this quote was one that really resonated with me. .
We as individuals need to start taking a little more responsibility for our actions. .
Otherwise we as individuals will be contributing towards destruction on every level. .
Step up. So the human collective can step up too.🙌🏼👊🏼🌏

I've become interested in the idea of a work of art that's designed to be carried with you. In the middle ages in Europe there was a tradition of keeping a portable altarpiece to bring with you for prayer while on trips. I'm curious how something like this would function in a contemporary context. Of course our phones often take that place, but those have a practicality, as well. What would it mean to bring a small work of art with you in order to better connect with the experience of travel? You are meant to look at your own reflection in this work (unlike this documentation of it) and to see the text change the contours of your face. I find it both a bit mediative and a bit disarming.
