I was reading the other day about how retiring kills us fastest. Faster than diet, heritage, weight, habits, stress which is what studies show determine our longevity. It’s this huge desire we need in keeping an interest in life. But then I got to thinking... and bear with me I AM a fitness coach and this is a fitness only page 👉🏻 but how many people have a “interest” or “vision” or real “goals” for their wellness? A number on a scale reflects nothing. It really doesn’t. A pant size doesn’t even really either. A real interest? A interest other than how we look. I coach a lot of people and I typically see just the weight goals or pant size goals, it’s rare I see a real wellness goal. For me, Spartans have been a “visionary goal” for me. Gave my workouts MORE purpose. I wasn’t just working out to work out. I had a reason to push. A “interest” if you will. I just wanted to leave that with you guys. Ask yourself. What’s your interest in eating healthy and keeping your machine well oiled. And maybe this is exactly where you need to start or fix to undo habits and deconstructive patterns 💋

Thursday’s are meant to monkey around before the weekend 🐒

Monkey was on playground in the rain 🐒☔
Warmup: Palms facing down 5 rows, palms facing each other 5 rows, palms facing up 5 rows, bodyweight bicep curls 5 curls, fly for 5 reps, bodyweight reverse bicep curl 5 reps, overhead shoulder raises 5 reps. Main Workout: Monkey bars with a 20 pound kettlebell hanging on my foot, going forwards and back then switching the bell to the other leg, a more technique focused exercise balancing a bar on my feet while using the monkey bars, and finally one arm rows using the tire as the weight plus a friend sitting on it to make it more challenging. @waa_muh@thebalanceguru@kore_calisthenics@robdefeo@the_ace_lifestyle@the_ace_army#tire#row
