So before I started this final project for my art class I know I wanted to portray something about what my career is and who I am as a person. The #Sun on this picture represents not only the light of the dark days, but what I believe being a teacher means; that is the bright side to every darkness. When I say darkness not only do I mean of my self but my little ones. In some sense I’m their light. The #moon, represents in some way a goddess. For me, a goddess not only represents a higher power with unbelievable type of SyFy powers, but a person to set the example. Who I am as an adult and a mentor, example, and authority that has to show the next generation what it is to be humble but firm at the same time, cheerful and serious, etc. Now funny thing is my dark side, or my night side, has some weird looking #stars right? Well, those are actually more touching and meaningful to me than you think. They’re not actually stars, they are supposed to be flowers. Why flowers? Well, I chose this symbolism of flowers disguised as stars because for some reason all of my students give us teachers flowers they pick out from the school’s grass. This goes even deeper by meaning that THEY are my light through darkness days. Also, when it’s dark, the moon still gives out some source of light meaning IM their light as well. Not only during the day, but through the night as well... and well, there it is.
