Wow! The humidity today made this a tough run! Daisy and I did our 3rd and last run for the week today. This was a hard one for me. I did not have the motivation to run like I did earlier in the week and I hit my snooze button 4 times before finally getting up. As I was even walking down my drive way I was trying to find excuses as to how I could justify not going today. But I pushed through and did 2.6 miles! Now that it’s over I feel ready to start the day and I am so happy that I went on my run! It’s going to be a great day! #healthyliving#noexcuses
Have you ever wondered what the straps hanging in our free functional area are? TRX Bands allow a person to use their own body weight to perform a given exercise. Our fabulous training client, Diane, is demonstrating how to use the TRX bands to perform a body weight row!
No matter how many times I am side tracked from this journey whether it be personal circumstances or health related, I will NOT give up. Even though I gained back a little weight during my treatment, I am still down overall. And after speaking with the doctor he said many gain up to 70 lbs, so in my opinion this was a win. This journey has taught me to be mindful and listen to my body. When I need rest, I rest. When I'm hungry I eat and when I'm not I don't. I don't deprive myself in fact I ate ice cream the last 3 weeks of my treatment everyday, but little baby bars. Portions, portions, portions. Happy #saturday my friends. I'm moving furniture into storage today (only 3 weekends left to be out of my old house). What are you all doing?
The Seated Cable Row is one of the most popular back exercises. It is considered one of the main compound back exercises which targets the traps and lats.
It’s used to build thickness in your back and can help improve your performance at compound lifts such as the deadlift.
1) Use a V-bar on the seated cable row machine (this is a small attachment where your hands will face each other in a narrow grip)
2) Place your feet on the foot rest and take a seat
3) Create a slight bend in the knees without allowing them to lock-out
4) Take hold of the V-bar between your torso and legs (maintaining a slight bend at the knees)
5) Make sure you bring your chest up and out, retract your scapular, and create a slight arch in your lower back; this posture should be maintained throughout the movement
6) Your arms should be extended out in front of you holding the V-bar: this is your starting position
7) Pull through your elbows until they reach your sides and the V-bar reaches your abdominal
8) Squeeze your back muscles once fully contracted and slowly begin to lower the weight back
9) Allow a stretch in your back muscles when performing the eccentric contraction but do not allow your scapular to become un-retracted and your shoulders to hunch forward
10) Maintain the tension and begin your next repetition once you’ve felt a full stretch; this is usually just before your elbows become straight
11) Continue to perform the exercise for your desired amount of repetitions/sets.
Tip | Always maintain retracted shoulder blades, keep your chest up and make sure your spine and neck are neutral

Feel yourself going to the gym not knowing what to do? Why not try this kettlebell circuit to help increase your strength, endurance and your overall fitness. 💪❤️😁 Perform these exercises as follows:
Kettlebell swing = 10 rep's
Front squat = 10 rep's
Backwards lunge = 10 rep's
Repeat this 3 times with no rest
If you're unsure about performing the correct technique while attempting these exercises then have a wee chat with your gym instructor so they can show you how to perform these exercises safely.

Life is full of amazing moments.
I remember seeing a man at a business event who was walking around and laughing with everyone! When I got the chance to chat with him I asked him very basic questions like what he did. It was very scripted. (I was nervous). Immediately he began to laugh and say “son, life is too short to be so serious. Just embrace it and laugh a little.” I realized that when I went into situations with the intention of having fun, I actually had more success.
I forgot that people are PEOPLE and we like to have fun! Life Can be fun and simple, we just have to be aware that we are in control!

It officially. I signed up for the #crossfit#newyou#6weekchallenge. My 1st #workout is May 29. I went yesterday to get my before pictures and measurements done. I will post my b4 and after pictures and before and after measurments at the end of the 6 weeks. I'm scared and excited at the same time. Wish me luck 💪
Hey Leute, dass zweite mal in kurzer Zeit das ich mit einer Magenschleimhautentzündung flach liege 😪. Keine Ahnung woran es liegt, Fakt ist nur das es echt nervig ist. Aber so ist das manchmal, es passieren Dinge auf die man erstmal keinen Einfluss hat. Worauf man jedoch einen Einfluss hat, ist wie auf solche Situation reagiert werden kann.🙌🏽😊 Für mich ein ganz klares Signal, dass ich den Stress reduzieren sollte und mehr auf meinen Körper achten muss. Aus dem Grund werde ich den heutigen Tag nutzen, um mich auszuruhen. Es muss und wird sich einiges ändern. Nichts auf der Welt ist es wert sich selbst zu vernachlässigen und seinen Körper/ Psyche zu zerstören. ❤️ In diesem Sinne, genießt euer Leben und gönnt euch gerade heute ein leckeres Eis.

Tomorrow marks two years since I had my arm lift, breast lift with augmentation, and 360 degree belt lipectomy after massive weight loss, which left me with some excess skin.
